I am going to hate myself, but Rap said likely to be 2nd rounder and some change

No link as it was on NFL Network.

He also said the Pats could still offer him a contract.

He said definitely not 11 but likely 42 and some change. Didn't rule out 32 though.

Now I feel dirty for repeating Rap.

I posted in the first thread wishing it was this. Gladly would give up 42 and maybe a swap of 3rds this year or a 3rd next year

I just don't want to give up a 1st rounder.

So if Rap says 42 it's probably both 1s and the 2

Yeah I'm not really buying what he's selling. I'm still expecting it to be 32 but will be very happy if it isn't.

Just decided it was notable enough to repeat, barely.

Rap;fake news

He covered and hedged. It's 2nd "and change". But it still could be 32!

42 and a future 3 can get to the same points as the 32. Im sure that's the reason he said that.

just hoping we hear the "real" agreement tomorrow, otherwise we are left all weekend to continue with all the competing opinions back and fourth over whats a good deal vs giving too much.

im ok with just one pick only as long as its 32 or 42, if they want more then just one pick, then I think that is asking too much for a player that will require a high contract on top of what it cost to get him.

plus its not "supposed" to matter about his value now that he has developed into the top CB he is, but he was an undrafted player when they got him so initial cost to get him was nothing and they are "most likely going to get a 32 for him

This is my fault. He didn't say it like that.

He actually didn't bring up 32 at all, which leaves me to assume it's still on the table as he said definitely not 11 but likely 42 and some change.

I really hope the Pats don't offer him a contract at this point

Kind of concerned about what "and some change" means.

But 42 and a lower future pick would be a big win.

It could be 42 and the third they gave us. Or maybe next year's third and this year's fifth or sixth.

It was originally reported that it would be for an amalgalation of picks. Just 32 went against that but that poster was right about the coaches.

So at this point I'm not sure what I believe more, but I'm telling myself it's 32 so I'm not disappointed if that happens, but will be pleasantly surprised if it doesn't.

And yeah I hated when he added the Pats could still offer him a deal, but at this point I don't know if he'd take it or not.

Edit:
That poster also said it would all be announced by now too so who knows what's legit.

I was just putting faith in a fellow poster who was right before. I DON'T want it to be 32 nor did I expect it to be before.

My gut was that it would be 42 and maybe another pick or two (likely a third somewhere in there).

I also thought 32 was too much, obviously, but the signs are pointing there, and bh has a history, so I'm still going with that.

42 would be great though.

I've heard 42 since the Cooks deal. Pats wont get higher so Saints would be foolish to give in on 32. They would have to resign him. Saints need to stay firm.
