it was clear to all to see he had to line up 40 yrds off a guy to be able to stay in front of him.
he cant run with anybody and someone had the perfect analogy when they said he was the equivalent of a tree stump out there in coverage.
that's why allen had him playing off so far, so they didn't run past him all the time.
I like the guy, liked the idea of him getting better but its not real, he is too slow to do it anymore and every other teams sees that and that's why the saints let him go.
bring him back as defensive backs assistant coach if you want but please don't hamstring us by putting him in a uniform

A minimum deal is not hamstringing us. No one here wants him here for more than a ham sandwich lol

If the slate is wiped clean, absolutely. Bring him back at the vet minimum on a prove it deal and make him beat out Bell. If he's better for the team, keep him. If not, let him go.

ok slate wiped clean, we now see a player who is so slow that no other team in the league is even willing to bring him in to look at him much less offer him a minimum salary team friendly 1 yr prove it deal.
there it is, 31 other teams saw he couldn't cover anybody and they now say he isn't work wasting a roster spot on.
now you see this as a reason we should be happy to go sign him like we did something good in doing it?
I wish the guy well but just like the other 31 teams, we should be smart enough to see he is not going to help any team
