Evidently more seasons like this! There are ALOT of non objective Saints fans that blame EVERYTHING on Goodell and Bountygate! Don't get me wrong I hate the fricker too, but it's time for the fricking excuses to stop. He produced seasons like this before Bountygate as well!

Lemme see what happens next season before I start calling for Payton to be fired.

This game wasn't CSP's fault. We want roe to toe with th world champs. And should have won. The only thing to blame on the coach is special teams. CSP actually called a good game. This thread is bad an you're a bad poster. GFY!

This was all on a rookie wide receiver who got rattled.

He looked like Brandon Coleman out there...

I can help you with that. History says well start 0-4 and finish 7-9 at best.

I can agree that the Halftime adjustments were good. BUT you have to look at the entire tenure.....not just one half (of one game) in a vacuum.

The offense in the first half looked TURRIBLE. Now a large portion of that can be attributed to Denver's Defense, but a substantial portion of the blame belongs to Payton for trying to be too cute. This has long been an issue for him dating back to the Giants and the cowbitches! There are serious issues with this staff, as evidenced by the numerous subpar seasons. The only major change from those teams is DC

Oh, in that case keep him. That would make him the winningest coach in Saints history.

I've been as critical of Payton as just about anyone here over the past 2 or 3 years, but he's done a really good job this season. This loss mostly goes on the shoulders of Thomas and Breaux, two of our best players. They're young and Breaux is coming off of a pretty bad injury (he was still in and out of the game today, not sure if he was hurting or still on a snap count). Today was a brutal loss, and I understand why people are upset, but nothing about today made me think that any serious changes need to be made. We played a really good team and the game could have gone either way.

And I'm starting to be sold on Dennis Allen. That stat about our 2nd half points allowed recently shows that he knows what he's doing, they just need a bit more talent. DL is one player away from being really good. Breaux, KV, and Bell will be solid. We're a RDE and some injury luck at the CB position away from being an average to slightly above average defense.

I'm with you, I like Sean Payton. I thought he was a young Bill Parcells but he's not. Payton needs a GM boss that can assemble a championship NFL roster. Payton can't do that on a regular basis.

We had the world champs on the ropes plus the defense is playing better. This team is getting better. Still some games to be played before the obituary is written

That's fine. You keep saying that. Saints got 5 losses. You're running out of games.

payton is the head coach and responsible whether just or unjust for all wins and losses. That is how this business works.
