i know i will be called a LSU homer, but i sure do think hill is a great RB but maybe a bit of a reach in the 2nd?

not really, he has the talent of a late 1st IMO, just the devaluation of rb's and his off field pushed him back maybe a bit more, but hell he can be off the board in the first 15 picks of 2nd round.

Ego Ferguson is an LSU guy worthy of a late 2nd and big and flexible enough to be used in a number of ways.

You know, I know Lee won't be there, but I'm wondering if a guy like Matthews is there if you don't think about that.

Stills, Cooks, and Matthews would be a formidable WR corp for years

Guys still available that more than likely won't make it to us:

Ealy, DE/OLB
Marquise Lee, WR
Joel Bitonio, OG
Moses, OT
Tuitt, DE/DT
Lawrence, OLB
Su'a-Filo, OG
Cody Latimer, WR
Carr, QB
Garoppolo, QB
Sefarian-Jenkins, TE
Jace Amaro, TE
Hageman, DT
Jernigan, DT
Kouandjio, OT
Carlos Hyde, RB

That's 16 right there.

Im not trying to be an arse, but its highly unlikely you just pegged 16 of the next 25 picks. Im just saying.

Maybe 7-10 of those guys go.

if all 16 go, i'll tip my hat. But i think this draft has already proven(as usual) that mock drafts leading up to the draft dont mean shite.

My top players would be:

Van Noy
Martin
Jean-Baptiste
Desir
Seferian-Jenkins
Richburg
Ellis
Hageman &
Moses

But that really doesn't mean a damn thing.

not only do you think about it, you do it. If Ealy or Martin are there, then you may have to take one of them, but I still would almost rather Matthews. I would've wanted him at 27

He's not elite, but we need a corner. And it helps that he's a big CB in a division that now has Mike Evans, VJax, Kelvin Benjamin and Julio Jones.

If he fell to us, I'd consider it a good value and good pick for us. But I'd rather some of the other guys I listed over him.

I don't think its likely but i can see a small case being made if they love the valuable of the pick.
Yup. All depends on the value compared to other positions. Unlikely but it could happen.

I like the way you're thinking in the OP too. Plenty of guys at "need" spots that should still be at 58.

Lots of value left in this draft.

I think Marcus Martin is very likely if there.

It will be really interesting to see if some of the really good defenders fall though, Van Noy, Ealy, SJB, Desir, etc.

We are coming out of this round with a very good player.

Kiper just tweeted that there are 18 guys left that he thought had a chance to go in the 1st round.

If the corners we like are gone and Jordan Matthews is still sitting there, I wouldn't bat an eye at going WR-WR
