My co-worker actually said this comment this morning, "the Saints won't make the playoffs this year"
He also said the same thing last year when the Saints lost to the cowboys.

Guys.. I'm not in panic mode.. Its only week 3. Like I stated in a thread earlier this week, look at both the Minnesota game and the San Fran game.. SP was on the sideline.. Calm, cool, and collective with a smirk on his face in the 4th quarter. A year ago he'd be yelling his arse off.
He's got something up his sleeve. The Saints have proved on both opening series on offense and defense that at will they can score and stop opponents with little problems. So they're not blowing teams out, but would you want to blow every team out and have the media already proclaiming you as the heavy favorite in the SB this year or would you rather have them doubting you and have the motivation going into week 10?
Remember, SP worked for Parcells, a man that understood the game better than anyone in this day and age. Need I remind you of the onside kick at the beginning of the 2nd half of the Super Bowl. That shite was unexpected, just like when the Saints get ready to unleash hell, it'll be unexpected and you'll see the "fans" who are doubting them now all of a sudden come back an say, See told you.
We've all had to eat our own share of shite sandwiches when it comes to Saints football. I can remember being excited for them making the playoffs and then being disappointed of being 1 and done.
I honestly stopped watching Pro Football due to that. Hey we made the playoffs in the wildcard spot. But I'd watch in hopes that they'd get passed it. I'd have all the games on in the background while I was studying or working on something, glancing every once in awhile.
I can remember the beginning of the 2006 season. Man everyone was excited and I eventually got excited. I almost had tickets to the home opener against ATL that year, but due to me being stuck in NY, that didn't happen. But I followed them wherever I was. I watched the NFC Championship game from a hotel lobby in Portland, Oregon.
This past year was one I'll always remember, but if it's one thing I've learned, SP is an emotional coach. He's not getting excited on the sidelines, he's being calm. I don't think he's complacent. I think he knows that he has the tools to get the job done and can do it at will. I mean let's think about this. Do you want to show your full arsenal in the first two games so the other teams have time to prepare? Personally, I don't think we'll see the full potential until the playoffs.. But I do believe we'll see glimpses at they begin playing more difficult teams.. I suspect on Thanksgiving we'll see a team running on all 8 cylinders.
I hope I'm right and not blowing smoke though.
