Interesting.

Goff had the most attempts off play action in the league and the most passing yards off of play action last season.

I think their scheme is highly effective, but I guess this is the going rate seeing how the revenue continues to pour in more and more.

I never compared him to Carr, first off.

4 of those 5 playoff wins were in domes. His career winning percentage in games below 50 degrees is one of the worst in the NFL. Google (Goff and cold weather) plenty of info on that.

He got to the Super Bowl because of a officiating blunder. Other than that, he's won nothing and will continue to do so unless he gets home field throughout the playoffs

Finally, the Saints probably have Penix or McCarthy right now if Goff doesn't win them the game vs the Saints. So he's done one thing right

Way to selectively use a team stat very conveniently.

I need my franchise QBs to be at least over .500. 17 active QBs have made at least 70 starts and the only one with a worse win% than Carr is Jameis Winston. Carr would need to go undefeated to have a winning record

Guys like Andy Dalton, Kirk cousins, Carson Wentz, Jimmy G, Mitch Trubisky are all over .500

I lost a lot of respect for Jared Goff after the combination of him wearing his jersey out so people would know he’s an nfl player and him thinking the sun sets in the East

You brought up his 159 starts, I just wanted to display his starts a little more precisely. 72-87

What other stats would you like to look at? Would you like to look at his mediocre production over his entire career? QBR? You tell me

8 of Brees 9 playoff wins were in a dome

1-5 in outdoor playoff games

Let’s get to the playoffs consistently (Carr) before we start slandering a guy’s playoff performance (Goff)

Goff is top 10 in clean pocket DVOA, one of the worst in pressure DVOA

He doesn’t elevate an offense but can do well if things are good around him. That’s basically it.

A lot of money

You’ve been pining over the Lions for a while now bud.

Newsflash. The Lions are 21-13 over past two years. Def not a great stat or championship type W-L record,

Nothing compared to the Saints going 49-15 over a 4 year span.

Goff got paid. Lol. Alot

Thank you for reminding some around here. And good for him. He seems to be in a good place.

There are like 5 QBs in the NFL who can “elevate an offense”.

He took over a 4-12 Rams team and proceeded to go 42-20. Took over a 5 win Lion team, ate shite the first year, and has since went 21-13, directing top 5 offenses. He’s sure elevating something when he goes to these shitty teams

Dudes wanna cite Carr’s numbers, oh he played on shitty teams yada yada yada. Dude has NEVER sustained an inkling of success in the league. Just a bunch of excuses. 160 career starts.. ya, it’s coming any season now

Its insane right now. When it comes to QB's the money often has little to do with success. Teams are desperate for a "Franchise QB" and are throwing desperate money around. Look at just a few well thought of teams...Denver, Giants, Pittsburgh, Saints and Cleveland. Almost a billion dollars in contracts just with these 5 teams.

Goff ain’t one of them but he’s paid like one now, by average annual value

I’m not anti Goff or pro Carr and I get why teams overspend at QB. Just think that’s a lot for him.

The market resets every year. Dak, Jordan Love, Tua, Purdy, Lawrence are going to be the next round of sticker shock QB contracts. Every decent QB will have their moment in the sun as an AAV darling.

Goff would’ve gotten even more on the open market. Winning QBs are fun

He played pretty well.
But not a stud. No where near top tier of QBs in the league.
If you are saying he did not get massively over paid you are biased or delusional.
