Just watched the Gleason movie for the first time and man someone must have been cutting onions in the theater. This film captures a lot of moments and is a must see for anyone much less a Saints fan. Honestly you will laugh, cry, and be emotionally inspired by this great man that we all know and will never forget
Bravo to Steve, Michel, Rivers And the rest of the Gleason family, friends, and caretakers for allowing us to witness this mans greatness on a whole different level.
Go check it out Who Dats if you haven't already done so.

What's funny is being a guy, if a movie makes me tear up, I try my best to hide it. Not this one, I didn't care who saw it, it had me crying like a baby. I feel for the Gleason family so much and they're just so genuine, I really hope we get a cure to this terrible disease because no one should have to go through it, no one. An absolutely amazing film to say the least that made me appreciate life so much more.

It's in theaters. I saw it yesterday with my wife and it was fantastic. I've never had an onion cutting experience at a theater before until yesterday.

Steve's relationship with his dad, son, and wife are so relatable and real.

My wife and I are about a month or two away from having twin boys and I was a mess.

All this Gleason talk. I had a dream that dude was playing and killing it. In my dream his name was getting called on the PA over and over.

From what I understand Amazon owns the rights to the movie so it should be coming to Amazon prime. Not sure when that will be though.

This movie was fantastic....punches you right in the feels.

Tough to see the toll it takes on his and his wife's relationship.

His dad's complete lack of awareness was astonishing

Yes it is a Amazon film so it should be coming to Prime @ some point.
Yes his fathers lack of understanding was very frustrating even to the viewer, I could not imagine how that made Steve & his wife feel.
Many parts of the movie just hit hard but I don't want to spoil the movie for those that have not seent it. I'm sure Steve & the Team Gleason org benefit from this some so if you get a chance to see it in theater or even pay to see it on amazon do so, it all goes to a good cause that's close to home for saints fans.

Why is this movie rated R?

There's some language at times and one scene in particular that wouldn't be appropriate for kids. Don't want to give too much away but Gleason was absolutely awesome in the scene.

There are several moments in the movie where you go from fighting off tears to letting out a good laugh.

Yes, i agree with the language on the rating, but i love the fact that nothing was held back in this movie.

saw this yesterday.

It was very powerful. There is stuff in there that is very raw, personal and intimate. At times you're thinking...should I be allowed to be watching these moments?

It's also very heartbreaking. The faith healer scene really made me understand how desperate people get in times like this.

Overall, a must see

EDIT: agree with the comments on Steve's dad. It was really frustrating at times how clueless/insensitive he could be. But the final interview was nice

I kinda felt bad for the guy cuz he wanted to be supportive and helpful but he couldnt stop putting his foot in his mouth.
