I'm pretty sure I spot Mark Simoneau in between Brees, Will Smith, and Fujita.

According to Channel 6 News' Fletcher Mackel, Scott Fujita was one of the major players in making last night's ring ceremony happen for Gleason...
Also, Fujita has this quote from Gleason on his Twitter:

He was one of my favorite players, as a saint! And is also showing how strong of a person he is. I wish him all the best and good luck in his battle with ALS. All of our prayers are with you Gleason!

I know Fujita had to take care of his family, but man, I wish he was still in Black and Gold. We should have matched whatever he got from the Browns.

Great guy, but I agreed with not bringing him back. Wanted to much, and he got it somewhere else. Good for him. I'm still a fan.

yeah, we recognized the beerman instantly. The question was if the guy on Beerman's right is Curtis Deloach or Mel Mitchell.

Such a sad story. The Gleason family is in my prayers.

I think this is the only the second person who was not in the organization during the super bowl year to get a ring. The other is Joe Impastato.

I'm going with Mitchell, as per this NOLA.com article: LINK
quote:
The surprise event organized by the Saints, former Saints linebacker Scott Fujita and Gleason's wife, Michel, attracted 17 former or current Saints players. Among them: Fujita; Brees; Deuce McAllister; Will Smith; Jon Stinchcomb; Mike McKenzie; Thomas Morstead; Scott Shanle; Michael Lewis; John Carney; Mark Simoneau; Fred Thomas; Chris Reis; Fred McAfee; Mel Mitchell; Nate Lawrie; and Shad Meier

I thought it was Mel Mitchell, but you never know if a guy wants to add some facial weight and look completely different.
Really good to see these guys support Gleason, though.

I just read that 90% of people with ALS die within 6 years. That blows, good luck to the dude.

Amongst other reasons as well, of course. But yes,

and stephen hawking not only has the worst documented case of ALS ever, but also has survived with it longer than any human on the planet.

And not to mention this guy doesn't even believe in God!
Steve Gleason will beat it because he is a "SAINT"!
