With Jahri gone a veteran replacement makes sense IMO. This is one of the best groups of available free agent guards in recent memory.

Mathis, Denver- is 34 so that will restrict his contract cost

Boone, SF- maybe discounted from an off year last year? Still a top OG IMO at age 29

Allen, KC- at 26 and getting better, prolly too spendy

Incognito, Buffalo- at age 35 with his resume maybe affordable. Besides the charcater questions he is a good player

Foster, Pittsburgh- improving at age 30, possibly a reasonable contract

Mike Harris, Minnesota- after 3 years at tackle came on strong as a guard. Age 27 will boost his price.

Long DE

See if he still has "a want" to sack the QB. If his price is not unreasonable see if at the worst he could be a 3rd down pass rusher.+

Mike Harris, Minnesota- after 3 years at tackle came on strong as a guard.

And Green at TE are my top two gets that we should be able to fit under the cap. Gives Brees another big target and we can look to the draft as well for another big WR. Locking up a guard in FA would make us more flexable in the draft. Would love Vadal and Harris at guards for us. Really really would

Green at TE in Brees offense could be deadly!!!

I believe he will be a big part of this offense and can save us from using a draft pick on a WR

Incognito may be a good fit as well. Besides Kenny Stills is gone so...

I agree about the guards. We should be able to get a good one for a reasonable price.

I somewhat see some better values on the offensive side of the ball. I wouldn't mind seeing G/WR/TE in FA and focus on Defense in the draft.

I think they will sign at least one CB and one DT in FA, though.

I think one of the Bengals WRs/Brandon Brooks/Tahir Whitehead and a guy like Cedric Thornton would be a nice affordable and realistic haul.

With a year to figure out playing with 3 fingers and having them completely healed, I like the idea of getting a guy who can really rush the passer during his prime at a potential discount. Even signing a prove it incentive based deal with him could be really good move

Sanu
Barron
Long or Smith
Fleener, Green, Allen, or Cook
Incognito

No specific order here, but just guys that I think need to be targeted and can be had at a fair price.

Don't go for anyone in the top 50..

Sign as many as you can from 51-100.

Agree completely. I hope we have enough money to sign a WR, OG, & a TE in FA. Then draft one OG somewhere between rounds 2-4, then literally use all of our other picks on defense. Front 7 help is just so damn expensive in free agency.

Then, in 2017 we'll have a young and experienced defense to go along with Brees & the offense. Plus, we'll have plenty of money to fill any holes we might have on the roster via FA.

I don't think you understand how contracts work at all.

They could do nothing to him and sign any guard they want.

I think JPP would be worth a incentive laden deal and he would bring some heat.

If not JPP, let's get one of the Chiefs. We need pressure.
