Does anyone else feel that with all these defensive free agents that we're picking up, that the front office is thinking of offense with two of the first three picks?

I agree that we need D-line help but I wouldn't be that mad if we went 1st: Treadwell, 2nd: D-line, 3rd: Guard.

its like we can go DT then LB or LB then DT, we could get wild and go DT then OG but you never know cause they may press for DE then go DT get stupid if you go WR and OLB but sometimes you gotta think if its all about a CB then a DT thats how you win championships unless you stop and get that ILB then DT.

The first two picks need to be guys who can start. I don't think it really matters what position. Get starting value there.

This. Can't get someone who isn't going to see the field in your first 3 picks. Ex. SJB and Grayson

No I still think they are going D Line. They left it to the draft because the free agent market for real talent on the D Line was too frothy.

Wouldn't it make more sense to get the WR in rd 1 since you could probably get a 1st rd d-line talent in the second rd this year?

Loomis typically gets players to fill the needed spots in free agency. Sometimes starters, sometimes just a body. I think this is to accommodate the best player available. I do not think it precludes drafting players at certain positions but opens it up more.

It worries me that we haven't signed a veteran Guard in FA. I don't feel comfortable going in to the season with a rookie G, Kelemente, Lelito and possibly Strief.

having only those doesn't make me feel good but they have inserted a few guys into the O Line that were decent or better that I felt similarly about. Bushrod was prolly the most glaring example. We saw only a handful of snaps prior to him taking over.

I'll keep saying it. We need help at DE, DT, OLB, WR and OG. I think we could draft any of those positions. (Although I don't think we go OL 1st unless Tunsil falls to us or something. And Treadwell is the only WR I'd take at 12 too.)

Brees doesn't signed extension. Saints should draft a QB at 12. A tag for him might be close to 28 mil next yr.

If we can get Fairley to add some depth, I'd be good with Treadwell at 12 and a DT in the 2nd. Since the Draft is so DT heavy, there will be great value even at this pick.
