Round 1 Pick 12 (NYG): Anthony Barr, OLB, UCLA (A)
Round 2 Pick 27: Odell Beckham, WR, LSU (A)
Round 3 Pick 27: Keith McGill, CB, Utah (A-)
Round 5 Pick 29 (PHI): Charles Leno, OT, Boise State (B+)
Round 6 Pick 27: James Stone, C, Tennessee (A)
Round 7 Pick 22 (PHI): De'Anthony Thomas, RB, Oregon (B+)

I tried something different... I like Mosley and all, but compared to Barr, I don't think it's close. I traded my 1st, 4th, and next years 1st to get him.

We need gamebreakers. Not average role players. Just a thought...

just curious, not a believer in Victor Butler? That's a lot of value to give for an OLB. After finishing 4th in sacks this year I don't see the need to mortgage more future for where we have a guy penciled in as an upgrade next year.

I think Butler will be good, but isn't 2014 the last year of his deal? I might be wrong...

I'm just thinking that we need a stud. Not an average player. Do I think we could draft a stud where we are in the 1st? Sure. I also think the chances are better if we move up.

I'm not just talking about Barr either. I think Dennard will also be a stud, as well as Watkins, but no way either falls to us at the end of the 1st.

Just an idea to toss around.

Yes, last yr for Butler but it is the prototypical contract year deal. With Juneyah having 12+ sacks on the other side that will open the pass rush for Butler all the more. Jordan is already on that side. So it is an extremely ripe situation to come in and get sacks. Imagining 25+ sacks for Juneyah & Butler is not beyond reasonableness. I have a hard time of thinking of reducing Butler's reps.

After the 2nd Rd picks seized the past two years I'm ready to see a full compliment of draft choices. With the team needs and how the early players outlook stands I think this is a year that trading down might be a lot more likely.

For me, the sweet spot of the draft is in the Saints late 1st Rd range to the mid 2nd. The rate of success of those isn't far behind the #10-20picks. They are much easier to acquire in pick value. A distinct step down in contract costs too,

Round 2 Pick 26: Louchiez Purifoy, CB

This guy played at my high school 10 min from where I live and I've kept a eye on him ever since.
A very good all around player with a good football IQ.
Is a special teams demon. Blocks kicks returns kicks and strips the ball for fumbles.
Has good size at 6'1" and decent speed. Can be up and down playing one on one in pass coverage.
Would be a great pick as he can learn a lot from Greer and Lewis.

What's Jarvis Landry's projection? Dudes got some of the best hands I've ever seen.
