Yeah. Rapoport said he got a 5.5M offer but wanted to play w/ a contender.

You are correct. My sources say that Seattle and Denver are "in" with the NFL. The NFL is planning on making tons of money in marijuana sales and want to glorify it with the two teams where weed is legal. Both teams have a phantom salary cap. And the Broncos were supposed to win the Super Bowl last year against the Seahawks, but the Patriots screwed that up and that's why they are going after Brady so hard right now.

Jahri looked pretty good against the Pats. He was moving pretty well. I hope he keeps it up. Lelito was had a couple of times in pass protection but Drew got rid of it pretty quickly. He seems a little slow off the snap sometimes.

They both had decent games against the Patriots, but that's still just one game. Jahri has been subpar the last 2 seasons, so he's still got a ways to go before any of us should really feel comfortable with him. Lelito is still a bit of an unknown wild card, but I do see him grading out better than Grubbs last year and Jahri this year. While Mathis has a been a top guard the last couple of years, so he definitely would have been an upgrade.

I don't think anyone would dispute that he'd be an upgrade. I'm sure it was discussed.

Here is where I'm at: I think the Saints are shifting gears in free agency. I think they'll be more selective in their signings and try to build more through the draft and really develope talent.

If you sign Mathis then he's definitely starting and that means Lelito is sitting. Now you have the same hole next year and Lelito isn't where he could be with a years worth of starting experience.

I think that was the thought behind not making the move, at least in part. They see Lelito as someone who's serviceable and can be developed.

He wasn't playing at his HOF level 2 years ago, but he wasn't subpar, especially after the first few games

In 2013, he finished 4th for guards in pass blocking efficiency. He allowed 18 pressures

In 2014, he finished 56th in PBE and allowed 47 pressures
