He tripped walking into the hospital for the birth of his son.

I really think he's the best defender. Breaux has that potential too, and Cam is our most consistent.

I can't put Breaux up there yet. He was shutdown at the end of the season last year, but I want to see more.
But I understand the logical flaw of that with Ellerbe
And I'd put Cam and Fairely ahead of Vaccaro, although it looks like he could have a very good year
This team has talent, just so many injuries

The defense as a whole played noticeably better whenever Ellerbe was in. Obviously, we can't have nice things so he's made out of glass.

I can't really blame Byrd at this point. Jenkins looks awful here, leaves and immediately plays very well.
I'm not sure any safety can be effective from a cover 1 position 35 yards off the LoS. It's a scheme issue at this point.
