Just wanted to share this since he looks like a realistic option at #44. Anyone watch enough Virginia/ACC football to add anything? The good thing is that most of his weaknesses seem coachable (inconsistency, effort).

Going by the first round, I'm writing down everyone's suggestion for #44, so I'll at least get a clearer picture of who we're NOT going to draft.

sounds like a project, would rather not take a guy in rd 2 again that won't see the field much next year

Well that's kind of disconcerting.

13th pick...

Everyone could have listed 15 names and 98% would have overshot this still.

Maybe it's a poor choice of words on my part. I agree that you can't coach consistency or effort, but a good coach can get that out of him, hopefully.

I actually would be pumped if we take him at 44. We will be lucky if he's there. He's got big time potential and ability.

Quote from another article on him
quote:

He had 7 sacks in 2014, with 5.5 of them in September. That means there was 1.5 sacks in the final 7 games for a guy who is going against college left tackles. I need more.

Guess I wouldn't HATE him at #44, but I'd rather pass.

His pros are his motor and athletiscm.

Yes definitely a project player though; he's not going to step in day one and be a starter .

When I watched his tape he got stone-walled a good bit because his hands and technique just weren't there (but that's definitely something that's coachable. Athletiscm and motor are not so he's got that going for him.) If he didn't beat his guy initially with speed it was almost a wrap for him.

He's not a perfect prospect by any means. But out of all the edge players still available, he's at the top of my list.

I'm tired of us taking players like this in rounds 2-3.

Frick that we need quality depth and potential starters. Several 2nd round picks last year ended up being starters. Project players are for rounds 4-7

We need to pull some of that this year

Yea and we also need an edge rusher. And Harolds not really a project player. Sure he has some things he needs to work on and improve on, but every player in every draft does as well.

Just based off his size and athleticism, Harold would make an impact for us from day 1. Might not be a full time starter, but he would play a lot of snaps. And he's got big time potential. He's a great athlete, extremely hard worker, very coachable and a high character guy. He's got all you want with ability, size, athleticism, character, work ethic, etc. He's a bit raw, but with his work ethic and ability and all that, he's the type of player that coaches love to coach and could be a big time player really quick.

If you need motivation to play hard when your getting paid millions of dollars to play, the nfl isn't the correct place for you.
