Cannot be said enough how crucial this acquisition might end up being. He is playing incredible. Idk if his fellow Buckeyes have gotten his swag back, but damn that dude has improved this D so much.

Yea I was pumped about the trade and couldn’t believe so many people were indifferent about it. It was huge.

Dude was the best player on the field today, along with Von Bell.

Apple with the INT.

Vonn Bell with the game changer causing the Moore fumble.

A.J. Klein with the recovery.

Agree. I wanted Patrick Peterson bad and was all shitty when we “settled” for Apple. But the man has played his arse off since coming here.

He's a great tackler for a CB. Hes definitely much more comfy here, I guess something has to be said with being with his OSU brothers. Had some bad plays in the Dallas game but other than that the hole in the dam in the secondary has been sealed shut, not many big plays anymore. Kudos to him

There is also something contagious about playing for a winning team and a contender, players are buying all the way in, and it shows. They are in it to win another superbowl for New Orleans. And I'm fricking pumped

Yarp.

Not only that, but the rest of the defense feels a lot more comfortable when there isn't a complete liability playing a very important position.

Hopefully his confidence carries over into next week. He'll need to man up on Washington. PJ (who I believe didn't allow a catch this week) and Lattimore will need help with Turdio and Juju.

The fact that Lattimore's name was barely even mentioned shows just how dominant he is. Any non Saints fan had no idea who was opposite Eli apple tonight

How many 20+ yards passes have the saints given up in the past month?

I don't think very many

I feel Marcus Williams doesn't get enough credit for that fact. He really turned it around from his early season slump when he was trying to force things.

Now he's just playing back in the middle daring someone to throw it his way and it's made offenses abandon the deep ball for the most part (most shots over the last 8 or so weeks have been near the sideline).

Getting Apple definitely helped with that, as he no longer has to keep accounting for Crawley fricking up. It's been a huge positive domino effect. Everyone is playing better because of Apple.

He had ONE bad quarter against Dallas, but has come on since (and was playing decent to well before).

That really long one on him against the Cowboys not long ago comes to mind. They did tackle the guy soon after.

That was one thing in the early part of the season that kept happening. Giving up big passes, but allowing touchdowns on them. Now if a big pass happens they aren't for touchdowns.

He's also what 23?

Probably hasn't hit his upside quite yet

He's been great for the most part. But he was the player most responsible for the one TD we allowed. Given that we allowed 7 points on defense, my anger is at about a 1/10.

Are you sure about that? Because when I watched the replay several times Coleman was definitely taking him and then just let him free when he saw run.
