He is at 70.0% which is insane because he is only 4 attempts behind Luck how leads the NFL with 578 attempts. He also is #1 with 402 completions, which is 36 more then Big Ben at #2. As inconsistent as we have seemed, it is clear that Drew is not the main problem.

Look, he was fantastic last night and has been for much of the year. If he avoids the terrible turnovers he had, this is probably one of his best years. But that still has really hurt this team in close games.

The main promblem as I see it is that there is no main problem. Looking at you Jay C.

Its been just plain bad luck, injuries, play calling, performance and team chemistry just to name a few

to be fair our wrs arent that good. quite a few of those int's have been because of the wr's lack of effort or mistakes.

Completion percentage. And water is wet. Doesn't he hold the record for best comp. % in a season.

Well with a defense ranked in the bottom 2 of the league can you blame his mistakes?

Every possession we don't score means a worse chance we can win. When your defense plays well, guess what happens on 3rd & 10? Drew takes the check down pass and punts.

When our d sucks, drew throws into double coverage for a pick.

I was actually excited to see him just take a sack last night and not try to make some heroic throw.

You imagine how damn good Brees would look with Cutler's arsenal? Marshall, Jeffory, Bennet, Forte

Agreed

The biggest issue all year long has been Grubbs and Evans. They were not playing up to what they are paid. They did last night. Brees was very well protected and had great pockets, and he looked like the Drew Brees we all know and love.

Drew is prone to bad decisions and dumb throws when he's under a lot of pressure right up the gut. Those guys up front have got to do their job to give the Saints a fighting chance. The defense needs to come to play, as well, but the most important thing is protecting Drew Brees.

Don't forget Goodwin. He has been getting owned since the TB game.

Yes and he is also Tied for Second. If the season ended today, this % would be 6th highest in history.

I know he had the highest TD/Int ratio in playoff history. Rodgers may have passed him though.

Most postseason games with 400+ yards

He has the 4th best QB Rating in Playoff History.
1. Bart Starr - 104.8
2. Aaron Rodgers - 103.1
3. Kurt Warner - 102.8
4. Drew Brees - 100.7
5. Joe Montana - 95.6

10. Peyton - 89.2
12. Brady - 87.5
23. Big Ben - 83.7

it annoys the shite out of me to see people bring up Drew Brees' contract when guys like Cutler, Kaepernick, and Ryan all have similar contracts.. As well as others. It's the going rate, people need to stfu and appreciate what they have had since 2006. He's actually won a Super Bowl for the fricking Saints

This right here. A few of Drew's INTs were just plain underthrown or thrown too late in the route, but many of them were a result of the WRs not coming back to the ball/high-pointing the ball.

If you dont do that you allow the defender to undercut your route when its a contested route.

Thats the key for me. A lot of QBs make terrible decisions becuase they didnt see a DB who steps in front of the WR. Drew has VERY few of those types of INTs. Most of his INTs are contested single coverage which you expect your WR to win.
