A few buddies and I were discussing last night how certain Saints "fans" have already started to question Drew and wonder if retirement isn't too far away. We all agreed that we want him to be our QB as long as it's seemingly possible, especially when you consider how long the franchise waited to have a QB of his caliber at the helm. He's been quoted as saying he'd like to play until he's 45. While I'm not sure about that, I have no reason to believe he doesn't have another 1-2 years at his elite level, and then 2-3 more at a very good level if he has weapons and a line around him (and a running game, a la Elway at the end of his career).

This article just proves how lucky we've been to have Drew. He could very easily become the fastest NFL QB to 400 TDs Sunday, as well as move into 3rd place all-time in different categories throughout the season.

According to this board, he'll never have another TD pass without Graham.

It's really going to suck arse when he's gone. Unless Grayson pulls off some Aaron Rodgers shite, prepare to bring back the paper bags.

Fastest Player to 400 Touchdowns: Dan Marino reached 400 touchdowns in his 227th game, Brett Favre in his 228th game and Peyton Manning in his 209th game. Brees could reach the milestone on Sunday, his 204th game.

mildly surprised.

That's what I'm saying man. People need to have some perspective. QBs like Drew are one in a thousand. It literally took the Saints 39 years to get one. I'd be willing to bet it takes us another 39 once he's gone.

Ain't no sunshine when he's gone
It's not warm when he's away
Ain't no sunshine when he's gone
And he's always gone too long
Anytime he goes away

I believe Drew would have been acclomplished quite a few records had CSP allowed him to pad his stats like Brady and Manning have done throughout their careers. Remember the year we were running the clock early in 4th qtrs and a few times in the 3rd.

I agree with how good it has been to have Drew. With Drew as it is in life, all things come to an end. I think the Saints want to get Drew another championship within the next two or three years. The players they picked up, like Browner, Ellerbe, Byrd, Spiller, Hightower, not to mention Benjamin and Colston only have about 2-3 descent years left if that. If a good QB comes up in the Draft this year, I think they are going to go hard after him, as they should. Drew can achieve another milestone, and that is good for Drew, but if he doesn't win, it'll be just another stat. He's is already a hall of fame candidate, first ballot. Another stat does not impress me unless that stat comes with a win.

Well that would be retarded, we just took a QB in the 3rd this year.
