Drew Brees NFC Player of the Week (22nd Time)

METAIRIE, La. -- I’ve joked in the past that the NFC Offensive Player of the Week award should be renamed the “Drew Brees Award.”
But it’s hard to come up with new material since he keeps winning the darn thing so often.
In the least surprising development of the week, Brees was honored again Wednesday after throwing for 505 yards and seven touchdowns in the New Orleans Saints' 52-49 victory over the New York Giants.
It was the second award for Brees this season and the 22nd of his career. According to the NFL, Brees’ 20 player of the week awards since he joined the Saints in 2006 is the most in the league during that span.
Brees ranks third all-time in player of the week honors, behind Peyton Manning (27) and Tom Brady, who just won his 25th on Wednesday.

Doesn't make much sense. I hope he strings along several of these performances and blows everyone out of the water this year.

He should have won it in 09. He had a great year and set a couple of records. It's called the Most Valuable Player award and he was no doubt the best/MVP of the team that had the NFL's best regular season record and would play in and win the SB. Without him no SB for the team. In 2011 Rodgers broke the record for highest QB rating and threw for 43 TDs to like 6 INTs. His team was also 15-1 so he deserved it more.

Rodgers was a little better that year. No problem with Rodgers getting it, although the second half of that season Brees was just ridiculous. 09 he was robbed.

09 was the crime
Like you said, rodgers probably deserved it in 2011

He had better stats even though he played 1 fewer game. Manning only won it becuase he was Peyton Manning.

Colts were 14-2 in 2009, Saints were 13-3
Not saying Brees shouldn't have won it of course, he should have
