You guys are retarded. My full quote in context says that given the injury and limitations, Brees isn't better than McCown.

Actually it doesnt. Maybe that's what you meant, but it's not what you said (context or no context).

If I could put anymore emphasis on this stupid statement, I would. How the hell does this say anything else than what it says??? Now who is the retard?

An injured Brees playing against a team that typically gives the Saints fit is a recipe for disaster.

And a way to ensure this is Brees' last game of the year.

type of major surgery on that throwing arm at this point in his career and it's over. His arm strength has been declining the past few years as it was.

I was actually hoping Dr. Andrews needed to go in there again. Maybe he could tighten it up again and get us another 5 years outta that there thing

I'm gonna personally whip strief all about the face, arse, chest, and nuts with an antenna if he gets Brees hurt again.

Perhaps it's the coaching staff's responsibility to assure themselves that Drew Brees doesn't get his arm ripped off by playing their first round draft pick tackle instead of a guy who's a locker room favorite aw shucks good guy but can't play anymore.

The ends of eras are sad, but Strief might just have to grab some bench before he accelerates Brees's any further.

Werder just went into more detail on mike and mike.

Dr Andrews is out of the country, and they sent him the scans and compared them to the ones he took last year of Brees, and said it lined up similarly with no structural damage.

He's been one of the best RTs in the NFL for a while now.

He played fine in weel 1 and horrible in week 2. Let's see if it was just a fluke game before making a permanent move

He allowed just 3 sacks last year

its funny how many people want to "tank" at 0-2.

yea we have glaring problems but this division is still pretty meh and there's time to improve.

Well, he almost got Drew Brees killed. I think I'm allowed to be irrational and emotional about that.

Disagree. If the Panthers know he can't throw outs or deep seams we'll be incredibly easy to shut down. It's like having 2 extra safeties in the game.

This part makes sense.

This part doesn't, although I understand what you are trying to say now, but you probably should have worded it better.

I'm all for Brees sitting out this weekend. I want us to at least try to have some sort of a heavy run game, especially if McCown plays. If Brees doesn't feel comfortable throwing deep seams and other routes then I don't see him playing being worth it. Guess we will see how he progresses through the week.

This is what kills me - I can comprehend about safeties playing up and not respecting a potential deep ball, which makes it virtually impossible for the Saints to have success, but I can't comprehend that Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady (arguably the 2 best QB's in NFL history) are better than McCown?

Come the frick on - you guys know what I meant. Do you really think that I believe Tom Brady (whom I constantly refer to as "GOAT") is not as good as McCown?

Totally agree I should have worded it better but bbap and others are being ridiculous - you should at least take my clarification at face value as to what I was trying to say.

Veteran Luke McCown, 34, is Brees' backup. McCown has only thrown one snap in his two-plus years with the Saints -- on an ill-fated fake punt in 2013.

Thought it was a fake fg that was wide open vs Carolina and he missed him
