I think the obvious pick at 14 right now, based on us letting Peat walk and being linked to no other FAs, is the Offensive Line. It makes sense since this is a top heavy OT draft. It looks like edge rusher and slot CB are the other top priorities, based on our pursuit of Young and Maddox.

Amarius Mims is an interesting prospect. All the athletic ability in the world but little playing experience. Has an RAS of 9.5/10 also. Wouldn’t be shocked if he’s the pick.

I feel a lot of you are going to be disappointed when the Saints draft a DE or WR at 14.
However it there’s a run on DEs, QBs and or WRs one of the top LTs could fall.
But I doubt it.

Keep in mind it’s rarely if ever who the fans think they will target. So expect a long snapper at 14. Lol

We sneakily need a DT as well.

I will never be mad at drafting a DE early. The Saints just have picked the wrong ones recently

I wholeheartedly believe the Saints will frick shite up again and select some no name SOB from Manitoba State Farm Community Technical College who is coming off a shattered fibula. Its what we do!! I have no faith in this shitty organization whatsoever. Always in cap hell and gotta go shop at goodwill for free agents.

Our needs haven’t changed. We need young talent and lots of it.

Biggest needs: OT, DE, DT, WR, CB (nickel back)
2nd biggest needs: LB, DE, S, OT (to replace Davis, Ram, Cam & Tyrann)

I actually think we should load up on weapons. I want to find an elite receiver to pair up with olave. I am not as concerned with oline with Carr under center. Would be different if we had a young franchise qb to protect.

To me, Offensive Line is a fairly dire situation.

The biggest and most obvious need I can remember the Saints having in years (beyond QB).

Question marks at nearly every position except Center.

if it's not oline then Carr is in big trouble and get ready for Peterman as QB

IMO:

Tier One
OL - a tackle is safe, but could see a guard as well depending how the new staff see Ramcyzk, Hurst and Saldiveri

DE - duh

DT/Run Stopper - Roach was by far our best run stopper last year. We need a big clogger in the middle desperately. This should probably be our FA spend item, since it's generally a lower cost position

Tier Two
S - TM is older and Howden was a little up and down last year. With Maye cut and our other depth gone in FA, really need at least 1-2 more guys here.

CB - depends what happens with Marshon. Ideally we resign Yiadom if his market is soft.

Tier Three
WR - We need some size bad. If we stand pat with all our 5th round picks (unlikely), I'd love to just dart throw 2 or 3 WRs at that point and see if anyone sticks

If its one that excels at rushing the QB I have no problem with it. You can find run stuffers a lot easier.

Doing a little research... Seems like the OT position will flying off the board in the first and top second round. In the mix will be Edge/DE... Between the second and the next pick in the fifth there will be 104(?) players picked.. That's a lot of players in the high(er) to mid rounds.. I really hate trading next years draft picks.

Brenden rice Is a guy that might be available in the 3rd or 4th. I'm High on him.

I agree that the saints need to draft another safety. Good thing is the mid to late rounds are deep at safety. I like tykee Smith from Georgia.

99.5% chance we will package 5ths and 6ths to move into at least the 4th round.

Most of the big name tackles are Right Tackles. Alt and the penn state kid are LT's. If those 2 are gone, I don't think we burn the first round pick on a RT. I think we go DE, like Latu, or if one of the top CB's falls, we get one. We can get a good RT with the 2nd round pick.

Man I know we need OL and DL the most but Brian Thomas or Brock Bowers would be amazing.
