Do people still hate Shockey for being Shockey?

He may play for a different team but he's still the same Shockey we all loved.

Dude's a fricking hoss. People hated him in NY. They loved him when he came here. They hate him in Carolina. It's just Shockey being Shockey. Dude parties his arse off and had a pretty solid career. I like Bill Simmons's story on him from his SB blog:
9:14: Touchdown, Shockey. During my bachelor party in 2003, we rode an elevator to the Palms' rooftop nightclub with him and his female, um, companion. My No. 1 troublemaking friend, Cousin Sal, was in there with us. The elevator started going up and we all waited for Sal to do something. Finally, he screamed out, "Shock-ehhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!" like a Giants fan would. Shockey laughed. A few seconds passed. Sal did it again. Now Shockey was half-dying for the elevator to get to the top, though he was definitely a little banged up and enjoying the comedy. Sal did it four or five more times. We were rolling. Then the doors opened and Shockey wobbled out with a smile on his face as Sal belted out one last time, "Shock-ehhhhhhhhhh!"

I think Shockey is awesome. I actually found it funny that he flipped off the Saints sideline. It was just Shockey being Shockey.

I don't have a problem with him. Some people got all worked up on here after the Carolina game because he didn't shake hands with Saint players after the game, no big deal IMO.

I agree. People on here were pissed about Manning doing the same thing. I don't know why people even remotely care if players shake after games.

I dont hate Shockey... i actually have a Shockey Carolina jersey... He is a dam good Tight End and knows he is good and is not afraid to let others know lol.... I love the Saints bleed black and gold but Shockey is awesome~

He's an overrated piece of crap. All he did was stay injured. Jimmy Graham is light years better.
