Is it just me , or is the truth is that our DB's suck. They either can't grasp schemes, can't keep up , can't jump high enough ,can't remember positioning, don't understand what getting a personal foul would be caused by, how to avoid getting interference fouls called on them ,or just are being put in bad positions to make plays . It seems it's been like this for years. Like I say, maybe it's just me .

Didn't read your post but imo pj can hang, the problem is on the other side Harris is a backup. Like to see more Crowley

I couldn't stand to watch the tape back which I normally do, but

1) Lets give credit to Bradford for making some great throws. A couple to the open window, one right over the shoulder of the defender and the high throw to Diggs (I still do not think this is a touchdown) The ball isn't caught until it is trapped against his leg at that point at best he has one foot in before his knee hits out of bounds.

2) I noticed on several of the throws they picked on Harris, a couple of others that caught a LBer on Phelan or whatever his name was, Other times they caught us in a bad zone coverage.

I'm hoping that was a zone when Harris let Diggs go thinking Williams was going to come over.

Like most things New Orleans Injuries rear their heads.

1) Missing Breaux. With Breaux you would have been looking at Breaux, Lattimore and Williams as your top three.

2) Add in the concussions to Swann. I think if he doesn't have his past issues then he is probably a roster keeper. Wasn't worth the risk.

Look at OL--we took Ramczyk as a luxury. He wasn't supposed to have to play. Armstead gets hurt, he plays. 10 seconds into the game Streif goes down. So 1 quarter into the regular season and you have two tackles that you hoped would not have played much this season.

Our DB's have fine individual talent. Dennis Allen just can't coach/scheme is way out a paper bag. It's probably the most talented we've been at db in a while.

Our corners are press man to man guys and they are currently playing cover 2. theres a reason why our defense looks nothing like it did during the preseason cus we went from running all m2m to cover 2

I'm not saying drafting LSU DBs is the solution, but it certainly couldn't hurt to try.
