But but but. Everyone here tells me they suck and Ingram is the worst RB in history.

See, you're being so dumb and hyperbolic.

They score a TD on the opening possession, which are scripted plays that probably contain looks our D hasn't seen on film yet. Especially from a rookie QB who only JUST became the starter. That first TD was a beautifully thrown ball; I'm sure Goff can make SOME plays. So what, I'll give them that. They want to win too.

We then fumble within our own 10 yard line because Drew gets blown up on a sack. They now have 1st and goal from our 6, and they score right away on a "pass" from Goff, but really, they scored because they ran a well-executed pick play and Delvin got lost in traffic and wasn't able to make the tackle in time. Are you going to complain about that and demand that our best corner be benched? Again, the Rams want to win too. Every single team in the league gets burned on those types of plays, including the Seahawks D when we did it to them a few weeks ago.

(Btw after this second TD from Goff, he fumbled away the ball to our D, allowing our offense to open up a 2 score lead)

The third and final TD pass from Goff came right before the end of the 1st half, during a drive in which we had multiple 3rd down opportunities to stop them, and I believe we also had a penalty called on us if I remember correctly? We eliminate those mistakes and we've held them to only 14 points.

We completely shut them down in the second half, which has been a running theme for this defense for bout 5 weeks now. We adjust at the half, our offense executes, and we will always be in a position to win. This D is improving.

So this doesn't show you that they make good adjustments?

This doesn't show you that they have made a nice leap this season?

Hell, once Rankins started playing the defensive line has been fantastic.

It shows me that they make great halftime adjustments. It might also show you that they play the basic base defense during the first half to have some things to switch to during the 2nd half.

Sort of like when Mickey wanted Rocky to switch to Southpaw.

I'm impressed with Robinson at LB. Always around the ball and a great tackler. Good technique when striking the runner. Had a couple of "picture" hits.

Craig has been an absolute DOG for us.

If him and Ellerbeast can stay on the field our defense is next level.

Steph...you can be our final piece. Come'on man

Yep. We went from the worst D-Line in the NFL last year to one of the best this year...and that's with still needing a legit 3 down DE & Kikaha getting injured. The pressure we've been getting from our D-Line is why our defensive production has increased massively. Jordan, Tapp, Fairley, Davison, & Rankins are all good against the run as well.

One more legit guy on the D-Line would make this a top 5 unit easily.

Last year: Jordan, Hicks, Richardson, Edebali, Kevin Williams, & John Jenkins

This year: Jordan, Kruger, Tapp, Edebali, Fairley, Davison, Rankins, & Onyemata

This! I have to admit....it was looking pretty bad for the D in the first half. But I was hopeful that Allen would make the adjustments at the half. He has definitely shown that he is more than willing to adjust in order to get the most out of the personnel that he has.

Spot on about Rankins too, I had hoped that he would be able to eventually get up to speed....but he has definitely exceeded expectations since his return (especially for having to deal with a leg injury).
