Can we stop to discuss how dominant he was on the final 2 defensive plays? The guy shot out of a cannon and sacked Allen backing up the Panthers a bit more. Then, as a defensive lineman, clears the offensive lineman and causes the kicker to push the kick wide right. The play happened right in our end zone. Don't know how it came across on tv but how the Dome erupted and players waving their arms "No Good!" was a whole mood.

Two things: Did we witness the turning point in Davenport's career and how about Brees? Just under 2 minutes left and directs the ship beautifully into field goal range.

I had to listen to the end of the game on the radio. Deuce and Strief went guano-crazy when Davenport got the sack.

We can, but I was at the Dome and Davenport is either injured or he has lost his spot to Hendrickson. At first I thought they were keeping the ends fresh, but he had multiple drives where he didn't ever leave the bench.

The snap count numbers are out and old Two Firsts played 62% of the snaps compared to Trey playing 19%. So I don’t think he’s lost anything to Trey. Any more observations?

Maybe, they are letting the other 2 DEs wear that line down before they let DP roam.

What I’m hearing is his lack of snaps is coming from a shoulder injury apparently he got an MRI an X-Ray done today

Guess we all know who gave this post a downvote praising Davenport.

Davenport has gotten criticized repeatedly (he was always going to with where/how he was drafted) but he deserves some recognition finally. If he continues this upward trajectory, combined with Cam, look out
