Welcome to week 4 of the Saints Game Thread Who Dats & Who Datettes!!
In 4 weeks this season, the Saints have been in the top spot for all 4 networks, having been in the 3:25 spots for both FOX & CBS, of course they opened the season on MNF on ESPN, and now SNF on NBC
For just the 3rd time under Sean Payton, the Saints are underdogs for a primetime game in the Dome. The Saints look to improve their record to 3-0 in that situation (having beating the Falcons in 2006 & 2017).
Of course, the big difference with this game is the Saints are still without Drew Brees and will be relying on the hand of Teddy Bridgewater to do again what many thought couldn't be done last week without Brees, defeat a top, undefeated team. Last week's win in Seattle was a stunner to many people, though I'm sure it wasn't a surprise to the guys inside the Saints locker room last week... and they expect to do it again tonight.
The defense will have to be stout for a 3rd straight week (remember both the Rams and Seahawks scored the vast majority of their points in the 4th quarter, meaning the D gave the O plenty of opportunities to score and get up... with the D actually scoring as well in both games if Walt Anderson hadn't screwed them in L.A.)
LET'S STOMP THE COWBOYS AND SEND THEM BACK TO BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN 3-1!!!
Yes the Saints are still without Drew, but the defense should be bolstered by the return of Sheldon Rankins, who is reported to make his 2019 debut tonight following his Achilles injury during last season's playoffs. Along with Brees, WR Tre'Quan Smith will be out again with an ankle injury suffered in Los Angeles, and Will Clapp is out tonight with a hand injury suffered last week in Seattle.
The Cowboys have listed 3 players as out in today's contest - DE Tyrone Crawford (hip), WR Michael Gallup (knee), & DT Antwaun Woods (knee). LB Luke Gifford is questionable with a knee injury, everyone else is good to go for Dallas.
Weather: We're in the Superdome... so there are no weather impacts except a crescendo of noise raining down on the Cowboys all game long (yes I expect more than the usual amount of visiting fans in the Dome... but not the complete takeover some have talked about)
Uniforms: For the 2nd straight week, it'll be the fabulous Color Rush uniforms on display tonight for the Saints, marking the 2nd of 3 possible times this particular uniform can be worn
Current Standings:
NFC South
Saints 2-1
Bucs 1-2
Falcons 1-2
Panthers 1-2
NFC East
Cowboys 3-0
Eagles 2-2
Giants 1-2
Redskins 0-3

This one is personal baws. Lived in Dallas last year and had to listen to their jean short wearing fans harass me like the classless bunch they are. Since 2000 we have owned them. Let’s keep this going.

All 5 on nfl countdown picked the cowpokes.
The fact that the spread is only 2.5 without drew is interesting.

Damn we really going to let the cowboys have 51% of the crowd tonight? Hope the city shows out and doesn’t let this happen

According to vivid seats 51% pokes fans in dome

someone in another thread saying Cowboys fans have 51% of the tickets on the resale market
which is only a small percentage of the total capacity of the Dome
sure it'll be a bigger number of Cowboy fans than the normal visiting team... but it won't be anywhere near 51% Cowboy fans in the Dome

For the Saints to have any chance, Bilgewater needs to complete passes over ten yards. Otherwise, the Saints are toast.
