i love the potential of kevin king (at FS or CB) and need a pass rusher, but i don't think we could pass on Cunningham if he's there at 42. he's just such a safe pick and can immediately contribute at WLB and in a few years takeover our D at MLB. i think long-term he's just the best overall value

i like the pass rushing of williams but if we're going to go with a draftee who is just a 3rd down, pin-your-ears-back and rush guy, there are some other options later.

Willis gone? Bashem? Plenty of other rush ends gone?

I'll lean Williams in that case.

I don't care. Just make sure you have the highest value defensive player on the board and make it.

stop sucking Tim Williams off, he's undersized. Saints need to draft Jordan Willis

what about Obi Melifonwu, seems like a great option if you want to let vacarro walk after this season

Cunningham. Safest bet, highest rated player left and will probably be there.

I could honestly see them taking Cunningham and then trading back up into the 2nd to get Basham or Willis. It's what I hope they do anyway.

i was going to offer this as a possibility

will cost a lot less to pick cunningham and move up to get a pass rusher than it would have to move up to get foster and gamble on a pass rusher at 42

Exactly. Obviously Cunningham isn't Foster but he was very productive in college and is athletic and smart. He's good in coverage and at 6'3 240 he can carry more weight and still be good.

He's got flaws, like tackling is meh and he gets caught up in blocks but teams think that can rectify as he puts on weight or if they scheme allows him to stay free. I'd love him at 42. Hopefully he makes it. With Nolan coaching him, I'd have no doubt he'd be in good hands

Plus, they have ammo to move up.

Use 103 and a future 3rd or 4th and climb back up quickly to take Willis. With so many good players left I think both Willis and Cunningham will be there for us to pick.

If these 3, give me cunninham.

For the record, I'd rather Willis or bowser at 42.

He was 234 at the combine. He did 15 reps on the bench. No thanks.

Lol so because he's got long arms and only did 15 reps at 225 you don't like him?

I'm not in love with those guys. King is probably the best of those guys but doubling up at CB that early. I don't know.

I'd probably go Cunningham and then hope I can get Tanoh and Rivers in the 3rd.

What do you see in king?

Did you see his interview last night?

What about Budda Baker? I think Cunningham is my top choice. King and Baker would be nice second options if any of the 3 are available.
