I won't bash the pick but I am very confused. We have a gaping hole at Guard, could have taken a premier pass rusher, or could have taken Parker since we have one proven pass catcher, but instead we took a 3rd Tackle or a player that will knock one of our other good Tackles to the bench. At the moment I see this as a good move for the future when I'm more concerned with the present.

I have to imagine that if he performs in camp and preseason, Strief will move inside.

I don't think there is anyway we move a 6'8 lineman to the inside. He would block Brees' vision and his throw lanes. That is why I really don't understand the Peat pick. There is no way he is playing OG with his height, plus he is not physical, so we drafted a guy who maybe taking a redshirt year at 13?

So I saw the Pay to video amd while he said very bluntly that Peat is a tackle and will play tackle he was not as firm about Armstead and Strief as was being said.
He said something to the effect of no position change is imminent for those two. That makes sense because Peat still has to beat one of them out before we should look at moving one of them.
So if Peat is as good as they hope he will be a starter.
