Next time one of our fans brings up our ring to Falcons fans, I expect you to call them out on it.

Why do Saints fans point to one ring in just about every argument with Falcons fans? How is that different?

I can kinda see your point.

But arguing the number of rings is more effective when one party has none.
And the latency since the last championship is much shorter for our team, as compared to the Cowboys.

Don'tchaknow

Well as Saints fans we're dictating which criteria is more important, which may not be true.

We say a recent ring is more relevant than an abundance of rings eons ago. They say number is more important. Who's to say which is correct?

Regardless, they're essentially the same thing.

I guess.

But we're still contenders in the same timeframe that we won a superbowl.

It's sort of like time hasn't passed.

This, plus the Falcons have no rings, which is a huge difference

It's a huge difference to us, sure.

That point of view changes from the Cowboys fans perspective.

And who decides what that timeframe is? How do you draw that line?

When is the last time Dallas truly contended for a championship? Other than 2009, they haven't won a playoff game since 1996. I'd say it's safe to say the Saints are contenders whereas the Cowboys haven't been in quite a long time.

Any team that has an owner that buids a monument to himself and gets 325 million from the public to pay for it, thinks he has to make EVERY major decision on the progrsm, markets himself on TV and radio shows as the OFFICIAL spokesman of the team's football activities (draft, trades, etc.), IS DOOMED TO FAIL.

Why is it that all the Cowboys fans can say when you try and talk to them about last nights game is "Yeah, but we got 5 rings and ya'll only have 1."

Because that's the only answer they have to give, which is why when they say it you should either laugh or say "aww, bless your heart" like they're a five year old that just made you a clay cup that doesn't look like a cup.
