Don't get traded for a 1st rounder Brandin because is can happen and we'll use that on 2 studs

He did his job. Sucks for him he didnt get the numbers in a blowout but he drew double coverage.

Have you ever played a pickup game with friends and not been looked at or thrown the ball? Even at a casual level, it's infuriating, especially when you know you can beat your man.

I can certainly understand Brandin's frustration here, but it's done with. Move onto the next week and get it back, stop comparing him to a diva though, far from it.

Does he now know how Brees runs his offense and Payton runs his team, because his shite puts you in the doghouse with both

Underhill put a lot screen shots that showed 3G was keeping his coverage deep, and was scared of the deep shots. We certainly took advantage of it.

I wouldn't interpret this as a negative thing. Cooks being upset doesn't mean he's complaining about coaching. He wants to put up numbers, and get paid someday. The "business man" thing comes out to me as "I need to continue work on other areas, so I can be recognized as a threat in other areas, and thus used differently."

I'll have to dig it up, but someone with a decent amount of followers tweeted about him being a one-trick pony (only a deep treat). I think it was one of those so called "salary cap experts." He may have read that and got frustrated. The tweet pissed me off a little. I know players say they don't pay attention to the media (and I'll group twitter in that), but we all know that they do.

Just to raise the question here, do you think he's only a deep threat? He's certainly got the long speed and is great with the long ball, but his accelleration/quickness is fantastic. His 20 yard short shuttle was extremely fast, and we all know he can fly down field (4.33 40 IIRC). We used to use him more for the quick slants, but Thomas is so good at using his size and strength. Also, Cooks's deep speed opens up so much for underneath stuff and the run game.

I think Meachem and Henderson fall more of the "one-trick pony" category. Stills was great deep, but I think he was a talented receiver in many areas, like brandin.

I think it'd be great to have one more guy who blows the top off the defense, like when we had RM and DH had in 09-11 (and, shite, Reggie was threat as well). Though, it's hard to complain about our offensive output with the BMW combo.

We should have drafted Jarvis in the second round and got someone else besides cooks in the first. Right, LesterEarl?

If your wide receiver isn't complaining about not getting the ball, then something's wrong.

Clearly the business man remark was more of a reference to getting down to business and finding a way to get open. Cooks as far as I know has never displayed anything but maturity and a dedication that has brought praise from Brees on several occasions.
I am not one bit worried about his attitude. I am sure he will use this to motivate himself.

Regardless if it is or not, we do need to get it to him more often. He's more than a deep threat. He's a 4.3 40 guy that can make people miss. Just get him the ball.

But I do think he was in the game plan, it was just the Rams taking him away. GW thought it was smart for us having to throw to a rookie all game. But it burned him. Cooks might not finish with 80-90 catches, but he'll have 10 TDs and at least 900 yards.

That's pretty damn solid for this offense with these type of weapons and so many mouths to feed

They are building one of the most dangerous WR corps in the NFL. The development of Thomas along with Fleener showing a pulse is only going to make Cooks that more valuable as the weeks go by.

Even Coleman is playing his best football to date. Cooks will have his time to shine once again. He carried tge WR'S in the early part of the season.

This is much ado about nothing. All of a sudden the Saints are somewhat relevant to the national media so they are reaching to make a non-story a story. Gives the talking head gas bags something to discuss on their radio shows. Don't take the bait....
