Christian McCaffery is seen as a "top 10" pick.

According to a couple different front office execs apparently. Hoping for this to be true so another top defender falls to us.

I love the kid and I think he would be an unstoppable force in our offense, but don't know if I can get behind him at 11 unless all the top defenders are off the board. So in that case I agree, I'd rather have him go top 10 and push other guys down for us.

No thanks at 11 when we might be able to get Mixon in the third

In this scenario I prefer to trade down and drop into the mid-teens (I know - you need a trade partner) and get him or someone else while adding another 2nd and 3rd round pick. There is a lot of value in the 2nd/3rd rounds. Could add a good TE with an extra 2nd round pick.

Probably won't fall to the 3rd

2nd round pick would be worth it. People on here are scared because of a one time incident though

I like McCaffrey, but not at 11. I really don't want any RB at 11. 32 is the earliest I'd take a RB...if LF7, Cook, or McCaffrey falls that far.

Potentially 3 guys in the 2nd round(Alvin Kamara, Joe Mixon, Curtis Samuel) & a shite ton of guys in the 3rd. Maybe if the 2nd & 3rd round wasn't so loaded at RB.

Mixon is a piece of shite and doesn't even deserve to be playing football. The guy is a talented running back and there's no denying that, but I just can't support picking that guy. He made one of the dumbest decisions he could have made, and had every opportunity to just walk away from that situation or at least just restrain her until someone controlled her and then leave. Nah, let's just hit this chick as hard as I can because that seems to be the thing to do nowadays. I would rather the saints not draft someone that fricking stupid and you're basically just waiting for him to do it again.

I got a feeling we are going to have a choice of some top flight players. Hope we don't miss on a hall of fame type player with a Jonathan Sullivan.

Except, it was multiple incidents... it's been discussed on here.

mmmm no. I don't see any issue with the guy outside the one incident. I've seen your points (or other incidents) and they still don't merit not taking him in the 2nd round.

I don't feel like discussing his off the field incident anymore. It happened in 2014. If he gets drafted by the Saints, GET OVER IT

Not angry. I just think it's silly that since a couple scouts said he was a "top 10" talent that it automatically justifies the Saints taking him at #11.

I like McCaffery a lot but, it would be a very ill-advised pick.

You must feel so good about yourself for standing up to this sort of injustice

Just because you're ignoring the other incidents doesn't mean they didn't happen. Someone posted a article the other day discussing his other issues in detail.

It's there, but feel free to ignore the red flags.

Good, good.

Hopefully the trio of Cook, Fournette, and McCaffery all go top 10 and maybe a QB or 2.

I’m going to go out on a limb and say teams are satisfied with his punishment, legal outcomes and him owning the issue. Otherwise they wouldn’t be bringing him in every week. Let’s let this go.
