Most likely Butler didn't want to play for saints and wouldn't sign a new deal

I kind of wonder if once Butler signs his RFA tender, if we trade the Pats their 3rd back for Butler.

It's a pretty good top 3 but we have no talented depth. We definitely need another pass catching weapon if we truly want to be a dangerous offense as opposed to a stat padding one.

Butler isn't available until he signs his tender. How can the pats trade someone that they don't have rights to? Unreal
