When completed prior to the start of the 2024 football season, the renovation will update the Caesars Superdome to ultra-modern standards shared by new stadiums around the world, in time for Super Bowl 2025, which will also coincide with the building's 50th anniversary. The project is also extending the Caesars Superdome’s lifespan for decades, Saints officials said.

It didn't mention if there were any plans for new seats in the 200/300 loge level end zones. Any word on if that is going to happen anytime soon? My seats are in 303 & I am sick of the old multi color seats from 1975. This is a huge need.

When can tax payers money go towards the renovation of the city of New Orleans?

So forgive me for not understanding but are the escalators replacing the ramps completely? Because if they are then that is a terrible idea IMO

no they cant, they have to keep some ramps because in a power outage they need wheelchair access to exit the stadium.

that disability access limits it

They need to replace all the terrace seats and club endzone seats to get rid of the rainbow 1970s seats.

They should put a skylight at the top of the dome over the playing surface

Absolutely love the Dome and am thrilled to see its life extended like this

Hopefully a field redesign for the first time in over 23 seasons and solid coloured end zones will happen too.

Some of my favourite childhood memories were running down the colourfully carpeted ramps after a Saints loss with my my dad happily trailing after me and buying me a $2 pennant of different NFL teams out of the shopping cart of all these older black dudes.

Does anyone else remember these "pennant vendors" who would set up shop right outside the dome (up on the concourse) in the 4th quarters? This would be mid to late 80's.

I remember one year they all started charging $3 instead of $2, but they bumped the leftover USFL pennants down to $1, so I wound up with a bunch of random Memphis Showboats and Houston Gamblers pennants.

The worst thing about the Superdome is the narrow concourse. Too many people in line trying to buy food and drinks or in line for the bathroom and it clogs up the ability to walk.

Agreed...not to mention the morons that stop to chat/look around etc. in the MIDDLE of the concourse !

Where are the ramps now? I sit in the 500 section and there are no ramps to exit. They funnel everyone into narrow stairwells to walk down several flights of crowded stairs. I brought an elderly relative to a game last year. The only thing they offered to those unable to navigate the stairs was to wait for a single elevator (all escalators were turned off (and are turned off every game for exit)). The lines were terrible and the elevator was used to empty the media level first before ever even stopping to pick up a few at a time.

Supposedly the reason they removed the ramps was in order to widen the concourses.

Yep. I remember seeing a kid with a family who bought him pennants from ten different teams. I was so jealous and inspired.

The ramps are gone to make more room for expanded concourses. Fans with disabilities i think are now all on the plaza level.

Aww man that happened to me too! I could only get one at a time, but remember for the USFL day I got 2. I also remember getting LSU and Tulane pennants after the baseball classic thingy.
