I am so on the fence in a scenario like this. While I believe the low cost quarterback would allow us to go the Seattle/San Francisco route a load up at the other positions a have a 5 year window instead of a 2.
You give me Mariota at pick 13, then I can trade Brees to the titans for whomever they picked (hopefully Williams or Cooper) and Chance Warmack along with at least a two next year and a 4 this year I might think about it

My worry is that Brees has 3 or 4 good years left and we either let him walk after a very productive season or we see Mariota move into the starting job in season 4, somewhat wasting 3 cheap seasons. Of course if he's learning from one of the best in the business, they aren't complete wastes.

Payton's offense is about timing, accuracy and reads. Mariota is sub par on two of those.
