A similar deal I found was Brandon Marshall in 2010 getting traded for two 2nd round picks

That is a much better deal than what the Saints just accepted.

The Percy Harvin trade to the Seahawks is a much better comparison.

So on one hand the Pat's are brilliant

And on the other they don't know what they're doing

I'm not saying it's a bad deal for the patriots, I'm just saying you guys have an inflated sense of cooks worth

We traded a 1st and 3rd to GET cooks and hope that he would be a great player

He ended up being a great player

Traded him for #32 and change

I see why people are mad. Im not that thrilled by the trade and wanted to get Butler because i believe that the offense will be fine with or without cooks

Hopefully we can improve the D with pick number 11.
If Oj howard is 75% as good as Graham in our system then we will be ok. Thats who we are going after with this trade.

Draft picks are more valuable than players

Not with an aging QB and no succession plan in sight,

The saints have to actually hit on the first round pick

The patriots over paid, Cooks is a good receiver who can't break tackles, and is not good with the ball in his hands. He's great at getting behind the defense and can find space, he's not Antonio Brown. He sure as hell isn't a top 15 receiver

He's had 7 100+ games in his career

Last year he eclipsed 75 yards 5/16 games

The guy is not a no. 1 receiver, that was the whole reason we drafted Thomas

Well, apparently you are wrong. The Patriots believe he is.

Cooks was drafted in the first round and proved his first round grade correct. How is that not worth a first round pick? Deciding draft picks over proven players is way over blown.

Given how often first rounders disappoint, Cooks is easy worth a first round pick.

You know how that sounds right? All you want is for your receiver to get behind the defense and find open space. He only had 1k yards every year since he been in the league
