Funny how that dickhead didn't call out Tom Brady and the Pats. Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't Brady older than Brees?

Yeah, your point is dumb considering the pats just drafted ryan mallet.

ETA: Actually your point is backfiring completely on you.

Cowherd didn't say to trade Brees to get him, learn to listen objectively.

He mentioned trading Brees down the road, not straight up to get Luck. And honestly, Outside of Brees, Graham, Vilma, Jenkins or our O-line, I'd be willing to negotiate with everyone else on our team for Luck.

I don't wanna be stuck with Chase Daniel 5 years down the road when Brees starts to slide or gets hurt. Would be nice to have Luck take over when Brees is gone, although I HIGHLY doubt that we will make a play...especially considering we don't even have a 1st rounder to offer next year in a deal

Luck is a #1 pick who is considered to have as much NFL potential as P. Manning. Mallet is a 3rd round pick with serious character issues and a load of unanswered questions. I'm sure the Pats would love to keep Mallet as a long-term QB, rather than getting Love.

So you would rather roll the dice with Mallet over Love?

Not at all what he said.

What he said was spot on, just really irrelevant since the saints could lose every game from here on out and we still wouldn't get 1st pick.

He was alluding to a GB situation where luck spends 2-3 years under brees and then takes over after 3-4 seasons.

Never said anything about trading drew to get him in the first place.

Why do people constantly bring this up. This was a rare situation in which a top QB talent fell way to low in the draft and happened to be picked up by a team with a HOF QB. Not saying it won't happen again, but not every team is capable of pulling this off.

With the amount of picks and/or players we'd have to give up to get Luck, we'd basically have to mortgage the future and possibly the present. Yeah, it'd be great to have Luck but if you think the price tag for ATL to draft Juilo was high try jumping to #1 for Luck.

It was a stupid comment by him no matter it's spun.

Sure

But they wouldn't trade Brees to do it. That's just stupid.

Matt Bartley projected as a Top 10 pick is just plain stupid. He sucks. Just because he plays at USC? Any team that picks him deserves him.

Bahaha Cowherd just basically said since Brees is already 33

the guy who spends 7-8 years as a backup is a guy who couldn't start elsewhere.

A little too soon, IMO. The Saint's QB to follow Brees is playing high school ball right now.

Luck is special. If he falls to the last pick of the second round, we should grab him there, but I wouldn't trade up for him. Brees will win two more rings before Luck wins his first.
