Brunnell has said he'd like to stay. They could keep him at vet minimum it would seem. They might but haven't. That would appear as they are considering the options.

With Carr signing in SF Shaun Hill will prolly be on the street. Maybe?

I love Brunell, he's a good leader and great at holding the snaps for Hartely, but anyone at this point is an upgrade.

Personally, I'd like to see the Saints use a late round pick on a QB.

As far as I'm concerned, the botched fake FG was the last straw for Brunell. If we're going to pay a QB to play the way he did against the Panthers, we might as well pay a cheap rookie to suck instead of spending the veteran minimum.

I would love to spend a late round pick on Colt Mccoy honestly.

Eh. Honesty, if Drew Brees gets hurt, we're screwed anyway, so I'd rather not see us waste any time/money looking for a backup QB.

Yeah I agree. We wont do as good with out Drew but if we have a decent backup he could at least keep us in the hunt until Drew gets back. I'd like us to use a pick on Dan Lafevour or Colt McCoy. They could be the #3 QB and have Chase Daniel and Mark Brunell compete for the #2 job in camp.

Theres a hidden talent out there somewhere in the draft this yr. They have one every year. Philly got one in McNabb's backup, Just a matter of finding him, What nice thing to get drafted by the Superbowl Champs and learn behind Brees....

+1

I definitely wouldn't call a high second round draft pick hidden.

Well your right, point meaning is that he was passed up by plenty that needed QB's, not always a good draft pick taking the best "COLLEGE" QB out there, look at the big name bust....the list is endless.....

True, but how often does that happen?

And honestly...Brady is not the heart of his team like Drew is.
