Didn't we bet $1000 that at the START of the season he'll be starting there??? not going to happen my man HAHA EAT A DICK.. Toon will and he hasn't even played
Yeah because we knew he was gonna be injured you stupid frick!
He still will not get cut regardless of the injury and when healthy he will get first call at that spot.
Toon will not start there at the first of the year regardless. It will be either Morgan or Roby. Toon has no idea what the hell he is doing yet.

Line up the latest Vitt quotes with the AA earning pelts one...
Tanner: “He's stable, dependable and what we think is a durable player,” Vitt said. “He can really work the middle seams of the zones. He gets clean releases from the slot position, has outstanding ball skills and understands how to read defenses.”
Roby: “There's no doubt,” Vitt said. “Courtney Roby is an elected captain on our team and he's an outstanding special-teams player. His contributions are chronicled and documented. He just ups his value to our team with the way he's running his routes this year and the way he's catching the ball cleanly and the way he's running after the catch.”
Morgan: “He stands right where he did to start training camp,” Vitt said. “It's an ongoing process. Joe can make some tough catches and then Joe drops some easy catches. We're looking for a dependable, stable accountable person day in and day out.”

Does anybody think we'll cut Henderson and let Morgan take his place? Morgan looked great last year but I'm not impressed with him at all this preseason. He gets bitched around on his routes, doesn't run clean routes and hands aren't great. Looking like Toon, Arrington and Roby to me. Aren't they praising Morgan in camp though?
Arrington seems like a player who gets praise every year and never shows anything in games...
Roby making his case that he doesn't want to be cut. Best preseason player every year...

Why is everyone bashing AA? This offense isn't easy, Lance, Pierre, Meachem, Ingram, Ivory, Reggie, and Graham all took time to develop. You don't just step in day one and kick arse in the Saints offense unless your a true bad arse like Colston or Sproles(although he is a vet).
AA knows this offense better then Toon, Morgan, or Tanner and he will play well this year if he can get/stay healthy.

Tanner a front runner? the next few pre-season games may be revealing.

True but the guy has been giving 5 years and still can't seem to get past training camp. How long do you think they should continue to try and invest in this dude??

graham played one year of college, had like 10 catches in college, and it took him about half a year to be a beast in the offense.

people are missing the point, the guy is valuable despite his health problems because he can play all WR positions from being there so long.

This early and without definitive word on his knee I don't see much use in debating if/when he makes the team. (A.A.)
Tanner anyone?
Love our depth at W.R..
Also loving the CB depth as well. I could not be happier to who we have picked up. Kudos to the F.O.!!!

Arrington is still a great WR/Spec teams guy. We need him as an alternate. I hope he makes it.
Posted on 8/12/12 at 12:02 pm to TigerTool461
Arrington is NOT a special teams guy, which makes his time with the Saints even more unbelievable.
Posted on 8/12/12 at 12:21 pm to Patrick O Rly
Dude still has mad speed and hands though
Posted on 8/12/12 at 12:27 pm to TigerTool461
He doesn't have mad speed. He ran in the 4.5's. He has good hands and size. I'm not trying to get into a pissing match, but you're a bit off.

Tanner anyone
We won't know crap until the bullets start to fly in a real game. These guys look great against crap coverage and they aren't running the real offensive schemes. That's why even though everyone is knocking AA and Dev this preseason they will probably still make the team because what you gain with athleticism with Morgan and Tanner, you lose in knowledge of the offense.
