Vegas doesnt see our D with black and gold glasses. They have no reason to be biased.
No, its to make money. Outside of New Orleans, no body thinks they can do better. After 3 straight 7-9s, why should they? The under is a safe bet.
I am more optimistic this season than I have been, but I'm just a fan.

Not a stretch at all. Great pass defense and we all know Brees. Take care of the ball and take home a W!

Seems like Vegas sees the Saints slightly better than last year. That's fair to me.

Have to establish the run. Don't run AD just because Vikings. Ingram and Kamara make the most sense. Some double TE sets. Viking have good outside corners. Also, might make sense to run out of 3 wides. One of their LBs will have to come off.
Should be a good game.

Slightly. I think 2016 line was 8.

They get the scripts from Roger and Co. The advance points of emphasis sheets for the refs are included as well. Of course, there are the odd games where the choreography goes sideways.

This. We establish the run we will be OK. If they force us to pass a lot we will be in trouble against their Dline and pass D.

Vegas though? Those guys know what they're doing. Don't feel like they'd miss enough to be that wrong about us. They have us at 8.5 wins I think.
Thats just a number to get money to come out. Its not a prediction. If they set the number at 10 too much money would come in on the under. 8 is the average for any team so basically they are asking you pick over or under the number 8. The 0.5 is just to keep from landing right on 8 and having to pay back both sides.

Vikings went 8-8, 5-3 at home last year. Saints went 7-9, 3-5 on the road. With little tangibles to go on the first game of the year, I'd say a "home team gets 3" pick em seems like a good line. Can the Saints win? Absolutely. But this seems like a solid line.

I heard someone say, "will the Saints be able to score."
Curious what the odds are for the Saints being shut out, if Brees isn't injured.

Per sportsline...
New Orleans Saints at Minnesota Vikings (-3.5)
Sportsline Expert Emory Hunt:
"One of the surprising takeaways from the preseason was how deep the Saints were defensively along their front seven. The Vikings still showed some issues with their offensive line, so I see an edge there for New Orleans. Also, look for this to be one game where Sean Payton commits to the run and sticks with it. Grab the points."
Projected Score: Saints 21, Vikings 28
Expert Pick: Saints (+3.5)

Some Saints news from today...
The New Orleans Saints added to the 10-man practice squad a day after letting offensive lineman Kristjan Sokoli go.
The Saints signed Justin Hardee as a defensive back, according to a source familiar with the transaction. Hardee's signing was later confirmed on Thursday's NFL Transactions report.
Hardee, who entered the league in May as an undrafted free agent out of Illinois with the Houston Texans, is making a switch from wide receiver to cornerback with the Saints.
The 6-foot-1, 194-pound Hardee produced 72 catches for 841 yards and a touchdown at Illinois.
He totaled one catch for 12 yards in preseason action with the Texans before being waived as part of Houston's roster cuts to reach the initial 53-man roster.
Hardee, who is wearing jersey No. 34, joins rookie Arthur Maulet as the Saints' two cornerbacks currently on the practice squad.

Good to see a largely healthy team heading into week one for once. Hopefully we come out of week 1 the same way.
So it looks like only Stupar and Armstead may be the only unhealthy scratches.

I must be confused. Sportsline prijected score includes the saints losing by 7. But they suggest taking the 3.5?

Pass protection is going to be a real challenge for us. I suspect saints are working on the quick game to keep Drew safe.

yall say that shite every year. Pretty soon les miles will open up the offense too. I doubt the offense will change much, and im fine with that. If we get the lead more ( meaning better defense) we will run more and if we dont, we will throw more

You really think oddsmakers in Vegas haven't watched a saints pre season game?
