Its not a "gadget" to move a guy all over the field, put him in motion, get him space, in order to maximize his talents and get favorable matchups.

This. A speed sweep is perfectly acceptable. Anyone who saw the LSU-Wisconsin game knows how effective it can be.

Posted by Fun Bunch Cooks didn't do a whole lot in preseason, and that may have been by design. I didn't see him lined up in multiple positions, going in motion, coming around for the fake reverse on running downs or the fake jet sweep. He was pretty much lined up and then went out, normal WR stuff.

I think when the season starts on Sunday, he's going to be moved around a LOT and in motion a lot.

I typically try not to buy into the hype, but this preseason was VERY interesting to me. Like you mentioned, all the things you said and everything the Seahawks do with Harvin were never done with Brooks. Combine this with the practice reports, and it just screams to me that we know what we have and don't want to show our hands.

I'll be STUNNED if we don't use Cooks in a similar way to what Seattle did with Harvin last night.

I mean, we kept hearing about EVERYONE at camp just raving about Cooks, that he was doing this and that and just destroying people.

And then in a game he had a nice TD catch but not much else. He was very quiet and just not very noticeable. I don't remember even seeing him in motion.

Something is afoot methinks.

Ah, so CSP is pulling the ol' Les Miles hidden playbook trick.

I'm pretty sure Cooks get 10 catches for 165 yards and 2 TDs this game along with 2 rushes for 17 yards. Going to be pretty hard to hide that.

Not that but it is odd.

Reminds me of Washington two years ago. They didn't show a single zone read snap throughout the playoffs, and then they're running it in mid season form week one against the Saints.

That's not a coincidence it's by design.

I don't think Green Bay stopped that play once.
