For some reason, I feel better now than I did before Sunday.

Have I gone crazy from all the horrific losses over the years, or is anyone else with me?

Be prepared for these types of games all year. And just like many in the past I don't see us getting that big stop in the last quarter to win it. Entertaining though...........

Better feeling for sure but I wish we could've held on to that game.

Unless the defense turns a corner I wouldn't get too optimistic. Brees cannot throw for 300+ yards with 4 TDs and 0 Ints every week.

Our offense has been on a different from the end of last year and into this past Sunday. As bad as our defense has been, we've also had some offensive issues the past 2 seasons.

It's looking like that may not happen this year which is an improvement in itself.

And to rant, we got that big stop last game, and the refs called PI

Nope, same problems different year.

Offense will look like it will have to score 28+ points a game to make up for our defense.

I would if we hadn't lost breaux for over half the season

Completely agree. I thought for sure we were headed to a 6-10 season, but I feel better now knowing our offense looks better than ever, even if it was just one game.

On the other hand, we have to win at least 4/6 in order for me to really feel good about our playoff chances. Losing Breaux is huge, and if we can't figure that out and we go 1-5 or something stupid like that... Wellllll shite.

too many injuries. usually when we start bad we end bad with payton. we could not afford to lose that game and we did. season's over if we lose sunday. I've got payton's whole tenure as empirical evidence to back me up.

If we start 3-3 and those losses are close while our wins are large than yes. Considering by then we should start getting guys back.

This was a considered a vaunted pass rushing defense with adding Irvin and the OL responded damn well on both pass protection and run blocking. I haven't seen some of those kind of holes peat/Unger made since nicks has been here.

Well we played 4 playoff teams, including 3 of the top 5 defenses, on the road last year compared to 1 playoff team at home. Won our last two against weaker competition.

3-5 vs 4-4.

we struggled vs Wash & Hou on the road, who i know were bubble playoff teams but also teams we should score more than 20points combined on.

Brees threw 9 TDs total on the road last year. That isn't going to cut it.

No doubt

Well let's not ignore that he also missed a game. Our offense was efficient against Atlanta and Tampa at the end of the season when we went on our offensive run

We were playing bad football when Washington and Houston hit the schedule. We lost to the Titans at home with basically the playoffs on the line.
