The Seattle Times reports that SLB Aaron Curry's contract is being restructured again as the prelude to an impending trade.
Curry's locker has been cleaned out at the Seahawks' facility and he was not at Wednesday's practice. The team is not commenting, but it looks like he's been traded. Carolina has previously been rumored as a possible landing spot. Curry was the No. 4 overall pick in the 2009 NFL draft. Stay tuned.

Didn't the Saints spend a lot of time working him out or something or am I thinking of another LBer that year?

ETA: By 'a lot of time' I mean more than usual since he wasn't going to fall to us that year.

Raiders acquired OLB Aaron Curry from the Seahawks in exchange for two undisclosed draft picks, one in 2012 and one in 2013.

They're believed to be mid- to late-round picks. The Raiders haven't scrapped their philosophy of trying to rehabilitate former first-round busts in the post-Al Davis era. Curry, the No. 4 overall pick in the 2009 draft, flamed out in Seattle because he lacked instincts to diagnose run plays and was a zero in pass coverage. Raiders MLB Rolando McClain suffered a potentially serious ankle injury in Week 6, and Curry could be viewed as insurance behind likely replacement starter Darryl Blackstock.

I'll update it to make sure they got the information correct. Shanle for Aaron Curry and a 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th round pick. It's rumored they are high on Shanle and that the saints haven't utilized him correctly....

It's for a 7th rounder in 2012 and a conditional mid-round in 2013.

You'd think the Saints would sign a decent young LB to help Vilma. I guess we're going to twiddle our thumbs hoping Martez Wilson becomes a player one of these days. Shanle is going to have to retire before they let him go- I've got no idea why.

Wow what a total blow for the hawks, a top 5 draft pick turns into equal value of a 7th rounder and a late round conditional.

I wish more people would read your post because its so true. The Saints just love to 'twiddle their thumbs'. OMG. Why can't they just draft a good one? Our drafted players just suck arse. I mean just draft a LB who's good...what gives. Do we need better scouts or late round picks?
Here we are drafting bust players and other teams just pass us bye and no one in the front office seems to see our need for a good LB.

Keep posting the truth..

Some day the Saints will hear you. Just pray its not to late.
