Second series

-1st and 10. Smith is playing WILL. A run to the strong side. Smith is stood up by the left tackle. Not a factor in the play.

-1st and 10. Smith is playing SAM. Smith takes on a blocker. It’s a cut back run to his side. Smith disengages and makes the tackle. Holding call.

That's why little Paddy was attacking the dish washer. He thinks it's his daddy.

So are you trying to show that Smith didn't play well against the Raiders?

I just watched every play as objectively as possible. I gave him credit where it was due.

In my view (at least in this game), he was somewhat effective as a run defender. More so as a down lineman. He was more effective getting pressure up the middle on stunts. He was terrible getting pressure on the outside. His effort was also up and down. He was jogging a couple of times out there.

I also went back and watched every play that the starters were in the game for and concluded that the best player for each side was

Ramon Humber and Charles Brown

Obviously Brees played well but I wanted to look for someone besides him and found that Brown was only beat really badly on one play and Drew just stepped up and delivered a nice pass.

I think he'll be a situational player when Galette and Wilson are back.

I just finished up my associates this summer. I'm taking time off from school because I'm homeschooling my oldest. I'm also watching some of my friends kids during the fall while they're at work to bring in some extra income.

While I don't have a 9-5 job, I'm pretty much always on the clock with 3 children under 5. I'm not complaining. I love it. The job I had before I rarely saw my family, so this is a blessing. Plus I'm good with kids. I work with them at my church as well.

Only if the situation is that all other able bodies are incapacitated.

I'm putting Smith on the clock with Ingram -- prove you can still play.
