Saints were clearly the superior team today. If not for 3 deep moments from lance, Corey, and drew this game would've been a blow out

I AM DONE.

I have hit a turning point.

I just sent the NFL a long letter (not that they care) explaining my exodus. I'm a 47 year old man. My dad had season tix at Kesar. I'm through.

If THAT hit on Brees was a penalty, then you LITERALLY can't hit the QB anymore.

I don't know what this is, but it isn't football.

My grandfather was an All American a Stanford in 1930. My family grew up with football. Football is now dead.

I am LOVING this!

Would be sorta sweet to knock them out of the playoffs too.

So let me get this straight. Saints fans are labeled as pieces of shite for applauding our hard hitting defense in 2009 (all legal hits btw). There is a huge uproar about some supposed "bounty" that was never really proven, and suspensions were handed out and we basically gave up an entire season.

But for an obvious play like that, which would have gotten a flag 20/30 years ago, all of a sudden - "that's football"?

fricking hypocrites!

I love how when anyone loses to the saints, it's nothing but fricking excuses.

I work with a 49ers fan and I have my ammo (stats) ready

Wonder what they would've done or preached if this happened to their golden child, Montana.....

It's called a "clothes-line"......doesn't matter where the defender's arm hits the player, it's considered a dangerous hit to the neck and head area.

I'm just having a hard time grasping why that hit is garnering so much attention.

Whether people like the quarterback being protected or not, that's exactly the type of hit that the NFL has made clear it wants no part of.

wow. niner defense dominated? we had right around 400 yards total offense. West coast hippies smoking too much dope apparently.

They did not dominate us in 2011 either. They hit us hard, but did not dominate. A mind is a terrible thing to waste 49ers.

Because the 49ers fans are trying to fixate on a single play as the reason why they lost. As though they can't possibly comprehend that a top tier team like the Saints could beat them straight up.

This game boils down to two things:

1. It wouldn't have been close without the 49ers' 17 points off of turnovers. But turnovers are part of football, and they did earn those points.

2. The score was tied near then end with more than 2 minutes left on the clock. Most NFL offenses can be relied upon to get into field goal range in that scenario. They had the opportunity to win the game at the end. They didn't get it done.

Lastly, I'm not even entertaining their butthurt. I couldn't care less how they feel.
