Saints had 19 rushes for 70 yards in the 2nd half and held DAL to 24 rush yards in the 2nd half after they had 90 in the 1st.

When have we ever ran it 19 times in a half? Richardson and Co put in work on the line.

Can't believe Dallas didn't throw it more.

Our run defense is way better than our pass defense.
Way better.

When has Drew ever been unable to put some air under the ball?

They could do nothing up the middle

That big 1st quarter run was outside

Interior pressure at least exists now as well

Don't know why they didn't just test Browner on deep routes every other drive. That's gotta be like 40-50% positive for the opposition this season.

Probably because they aren't very comfortable with Weeden on the deep ball. Dude doesn't have a great history with that. Expect a heavy dose of Cassel very, very soon for Dallas. Not that he's all that great either...

If they had a RB the caliber of Murray still,Weeden would be fine but they don't and have to put more on him and he's not capable of that.

Not to mention Dez is out and a couple of guys

I don't think he played terrible though

DL has been pretty decent against the run. Issues have been the lack of pass rush. If you watch their pass rush technique, it is utterly horrible.

The DT's won that game. Saw some plays from them completely owning that o-line. Richardson, Davison were on fire and even Jenkins made a play late.

On a side note how many times is Jordan going to lose contain on a back cut to his side?

Also Browner coming up and making plays at the line. At the line coaches. Please take note and stop putting him on WR's unless its a one legged one please.

Did Hawthorne play a snap?

Hawthorne had 26 snaps but was outplayed by ellerbe who had 19.

Wouldn't be surprised if ellerbe evens the snap count next week and then overtakes for good after that.

I don't normally like to do this but I had to fix this for you.

Browner is by far the worst player on defense and has been costing us games. Hopefully KLew didn't tweak or reinjure himself and can play close to a full game next week.

If he can cover ones and Breaux the twos I think we will be okay with Browner and Swann in the slot (and Browner ONLY on the bigger receivers who are slow or TEs).

Why Browner is EVER put over a speed guy is perplexing.

26 snaps is a backup, and I expect that number to come down if Ellerbe didn't have any setbacks. And though I liked him in past years Humber has been absolutely awful this year so I was glad he only got 1 snap.

Our starting LBs are Anthony and Kikaha, who both play almost every snap. Then it's a mix between a third LB or CB or a 4th DL as the "swing" player.

Edit:
Also agree that Browner is good around the line, or against bigger slower guys. Getting Lewis back fully is vital to our success.
