I don't see them having to trade up if they want Cooks....something tells me this draft is going to be loaded with OL picks towards the top.

It would be great to get him at 27, but I don't see it happening. I think he'd be a great compliment with Decker in NY, a perfect replacement for Desean in Philly, and a huge upgrade to McCluter in KC.

I really don't think the Saints are moving up or drafting Cooks. Payton has never drafted a WR under 6'0. Don't see that changing tonight

I don't see that as a reason for thinking we won't draft Cooks...

Cooks doesn't fit the model the Saints have drafted in the past. Marqise Lee or Kelvin Benjamin are better fits.

Yeah, sorry everyone doesn't agree with your opinion on Cooks.

I really, really doubt Sean Payton has a model of WRs that he likes to draft, and Cooks doesn't fit in. Just because he hasn't in the past, doesn't mean he never will.

our model of drafting wr's in the past has partially led us to this need of a cooks in our offense.

make noooooooooooooo mistake about it, Payton would LOVE him some Cooks. He will grab a napkin and start drawing lines and shite all the way off the napkin.

Well, your opinion of Cooks is that he would be a Lance Moore replacement, so there's that...

Yeah I think so, remember Payton didn't draft Moore he kind fell into his lap. There's only 1 WR on the current roster under 6'0

Wouldn't that be even more reason to pick a guy like Cooks? Speed, shifty type of WR we currently lack?

Correlation =/= causation. I seriously doubt because we've never draft a WR under 6', or only have 1 on the roster, means that we won't, and will never, acquire another one. Cooks would add a wrinkle to this offense that we haven't really had since Brees and Payton have been here. The ability to make people miss in the open field, and accumulate yards after the catch are abilities that none of our WRs have shown.

@moosedenied Oh boy. I'm hearing this too, but Drew is part of the deal as well. If it doesn't happen, there was a disagreement. #journalism
