"The Gary Harris diving at your legs...not a fun sequence, how do you handle the extreme.."

Z "next question"

On offensive struggles in the 3rd "we tried to match their physicality, but we didn't execute we didn't attack the gaps, we didn't play with purpose"

On the 1-4 stretch "in the NBA you have a game the next day or the day after, so, on the court and off the court, don't panic. If you start panicking, others will. We need to have a higher level of focus for these next games

On his finger "I don't want to dive too deep into that question because I don't want to be wrong, tweaked it a little, we'll get it looked at tomorrow and go from there"

On the guys getting kicked out

"I didn't see it but I know coach addressed it with us, I'm not sure if he told you guys what was said, so idk it'll be something we'll handle that internally

If he tweaked it a little, he should have been in in the 4th, which concerns me that he's just downplaying it.

I mean, he dapped Harris up 10 seconds later.

If he has ligament damage or he broke it- man its gonna get ugly.

See, this is what I mean with Zion's weird press conferences.

He's trying to be all hard when talking to the media, but is just smiling and not being confrontational at all on the court.

Zion was the bigger person on the court both figuratively and literally than Gary Harris. Doesn’t mean that he isn’t upset about it and would rather just say next question than lose his cool in a press conference.

To be fair he wasn’t smiling when he was undercut. He was visibly upset on the court. Harris genuinely apologized and I think Zion just walked away to gather himself. I think you’re cherry picking here- because if he loses his cool and gets tossed- I think you would criticize him for losing his cool and not being composed. Again, not really sure what you want from him. I can understand criticism for how he does on court but this seems like a silly take. Its like your mad he didn’t blow his shite and get tossed.

Zion and him came together probably less than 10 seconds later and shook hands or dapped each other up with a little half hug.

There are exit ramps between shaking a guy's hand and getting tossed. Those aren't the only 2 options.

Ok say he does what you want him to do. I’m just not understanding how his reaction to him being undercut somehow defines a problem with Zion? Does somehow him being more upset help make him a better player? I’m genuinely asking?

AD made the point last night.

IF something like that doesn't galvanize a team that is playing flat with no energy...and it didn't.

The true dogs in the league that that shite personal. And whether they win or not or miss the next 10 shots is not the point. When shite like that happens, it's personal to them and they want the ball and they want to dominate. Zion did the same thing he did th entire game, which was not much. He didn't demand the ball more. But that's another one, he did say in a presser a week ago that he needs to demand the ball more. Just further shows he says a lot of junk in pressers but doesn't do or live the things he says, at least not consistently.

I guess I get that. I expected him as well to respond harder on the court in regards to his play. To me I’m ok with how we reacted with Harris but agree with you he should went hard on the court even if he got an offensive foul to send a message. Im hoping that just immaturity I dont know.

Z "next question"
Dirty play by Harris and should have been a flagrant. The BS excuse that he "slipped" was ridiculous. No doubt if someone made that same play against Lebron, they would have been tossed and his teammates would have started a brawl.

It can be both

it should be flagrant, but it was pretty obvious he slipped and it was not intentional.

Just like when you're on offense and go up for a shot and elbow a dude in the face, that often results in a flagrant despite it obviously not being intentional. Same thing applies here. He legit slipped as he was trying to move forward.

Also, this did happen to Lebron a couple of seasons ago. No brawl occurred...

The good news is everything came back clean.

But I'm still here wondering why he couldn't play the 4th of a pivotal game with what is confirmed to be a finger that was "tweaked a little"

That's not very "live for this competitive shite" of Zion.

Potential tendon damage is probably why. You don't want a slight tear to rip fully.
