Zion is fat, slow, lacking hops and agility, still shooting 60% from the floor.

Where do I start with this conversation? Let's see. Let's go Zions skill for skill abilities and what he is lacking at this weight.

Zion is suffering as a ball handler and can't explode past people because he has to load up to get that big arse frame in motion. There has been numerous times where he had his defender hip to hip, but could not explode towards the basket in the open lane.

Even worse, he doesn't have any of his GOAT level abilities to break down the help defender off the dribble. He hasn't been able to split double teams this year, his spin step has not worked barely at all this year, he fumbles his handle a lot because his body is used to moving faster than he currently can, so when he tries to explode, he is getting no separation.

Even his ability to explode from the triple threat is slow ASF this season. He has the fastest first step from the triple threat in the NBA, but right now it's super slow.

His hops has also suffered a lot and he barely even tries to jump over defenders, jump into traffic, and only tries to dunk when the basket is wide open. His 2 dunks last night were so damn unathletic it's crazy. He is pulling so much extra weight around that it's so easy to see that he is MUCH slower and MUCH less athletic.

I don't think this is regular athletic decline, and I think he will be right back jumping thru the roof as soon as he drops all the extra weight. However, when he got bigger in other seasons he was never this slow and never lacked this much mobility. Even rookie year, fresh off the meniscus and fluffy as hell, he was still the fastest player on the court. That is not the case right now and he is MUCH bigger than he was at that point.

This dude needs to REALLY get down to 285, Duke size ONLY abd no less than that because right now, he is at least 320.

Huh? Man stfu if you ain't gonna post something with any information behind it.

Last night I seen 2 dunks where he barely got off the floor, I seen a fat man use his amazing touch around the basket to finish layups. I seen a fat man who can still get the job done, but not as Zion Williamson. More as a big butter ball with solid speed and agility and GOAT level touch around the basket (the only thing that has been completely unaffected by the weight).

If you look at current Zion, and see the same Zion from last year, then you are legally blind.

He looks the best he has in a while.

I think FO and Willie should just play him....ALOT....and let the injuries happen if they will.

Theres a thought that by playing more, he gets in better shape, and injury chances actually go down...vs. keeping big boy on bench half the game and his big body never thins out and he isnt "hardened up" from injuries

Last night:

Zion Williamson said he feels about "93 percent" heading into the All-Star break. He's happy about where he is but knows there's room to improve.

How will he know when he's all the way back?

"When I'm doing things that aren't normal constantly."

He said he was 88%-90% about maybe 3-4 weeks ago. The long journey is to get there is not ideal, but if he stays in shape, peak Zion showing up just in time for the playoffs will be a good thing.

He looks the best "on the court" because the offense is running thru him again, as it always should have been.

Weight wise though, he has never been this big, this slow, and this unathletic. And as I said, he is still a historically good player as an out of shape butterball, but he is nowhere near the same athlete he was last season, and not in the same stratosphere as year 2 Zion.

How many times has his unguardable spin step worked for him this season? Because last year he pulled that bitch off 2-3 times per game for a wide open layup.

This year he barely gets a shot off or even a good look at a shot after the spin step. Not to say it hasn't worked at all, but god dammit IT WAS NEVER STOPPED BEFORE vs IT BARELY EVER WORKING this season.

I'm not gonna get into the subjective stuff about his athleticism and weight but this point is dumb. We all love a good poster but dunking in traffic is 100% more dangerous than a finger roll or layup. I'm cool with Z taking the 2 points without worrying about landing funny after hanging on the rim or getting his legs cut out from under him by a defender

So you're gonna act as if I didn't speak on his lack of speed off the dribble, his lack of explosion from the triple threat, his lack of blow by speed when hip to hip with a defender, his lack of ups on his 2 dunks last night and the slow footed load up that proceeded those 2 dunks ??.

To make it as if I said "he's not dunking in traffic so he's fat" is a flat out false flag bruh.

The dude has had 5 30pt games in the last 14 he's played, and now you want to make his thread.

Fact is Zion is peaking at the right time. I just hope the extended allstar break doesn't set him back.

I’m talking about your inability to speak correctly, bud. There’s a word you should start working into your vocabulary. It’s called “saw”.
