Zion fully participated in practice this morning. Jose also practiced and went 5 on 5 after. So this organization holds them both out of a pivotal must win game and then they both practice 14 hours later???

This is rotten to the core.

They outsmarted themselves. They thought they could hold out key players and still beat the lowly Spurs while saving their key players for the Phoenix game.

At this point if you're a willing and able body and you're not going all hands on deck, you failed from top to bottom.

I never hope that the Pelicans actually lose games unless tanking.

But I hope Phoenix blows them out and Booker scores 80. Willie needs to continue to get exposed and just maybe it’s enough to let him go. frick their performance the last several games.

It’s gonna be real hard to get emotionally invested for the remainder of the regular season.

Gotta say. Hit our only game of the year last night bc we’re from out of town. Jose is my kid’s favorite player and we have never seen Zion play in five years despite going to multiple games most years since he’s been in the league. This pisses me off to no end. Would probably roll my eyes at it had we not shite the bed entirely, not only last night but the last two weeks. It really is a dick punch as a fan. Especially as one who has tried like hell to be positive and patient.

Simple winning formula- try to win every game and push our players with that same mindset.

Pels formula- lets rest players purposefully, bet on winning against crap teams and we’ll be ok.

Again the organization mindset is all messed up. To be purposely resting players when every game is needed is bonkers. And now the players on the team are like wtf is this???

This comes straight from Griff. It goes back to Zion’s rookie year. He and Nelson made the decision to hold Zion out an extra month. Zion last year, Ingram last year, Trey for an extra two weeks earlier this year. Griff always talks about culture. He wanted to build the culture. He has succeeded, and that culture is rotten. The last 10 days don’t happen if it wasn’t, culminating in last night.

Griff forgets that he didn’t build any culture. That was Lebron who won a championship and made several finals. Lebron built that culture not Griff.

This is the answer! You have gone at Willie all season . Willie is not perfect as I have stated hundreds of times but Willie is down on the list of problems .

What you stated above is very near the top of the list . It started with the soft banners they hung in the practice facility , then sitting guys healthy early in the season . When you are a team in the fringe every game matters.

Griff is too in to feelings , energies …Phil Jackson wannabe and not enough into basketball and results.

I ranted big time at the beginning of the season when they were holding guys out for small injuries about how every game in the NBA matters and if you can play you need to play. Lo and behold here we are again at the end of the season and there’s a what, two game gap between 5th and 7th? This is the case every year, it doesn’t matter when the game is being played everyone needs to be treated like it’s a win or go home game.

BOTH ARE THE PROBLEM!!! A better coach would have won us yesterday and other games as well. Yes the organizational mindset is screwed up but our coach is one of the worst in the league!

Saying Willie is down the list of problems is absolutely moronic and you dont watch any of the games. Im sorry if you still think having an incompetent coach doesn’t affect winning basketball games I dont know what to tell you.

You literally are saying hanging soft banners is more problematic than having a bad coach. Listen to yourself here?

I realize that sounded overly dramatic but I’m just tired. Basically Willie is a big part of the problem. A teams HC is a huge part of your culture and him ALONG with Griff have fricked up this team.
