ESPN.com reported three additional names on Monday.

Steven Adams (Pittsburgh), Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (Georgia) and Sergey Karasev (Russia) are last three green room invites for Thursday’s NBA Draft, per source.

Huh. That is interesting. Does Karasev have a promise? All of the other guys are lottery picks for sure. Do they want to have at least one true Euro there?

Interesting. He's a guy I really like.

Watching Caldwell-Pope (only saw him in a few games) reminded me of a little taller Marcus Thornton. Yes they are a little bit different type of player because KCP had to create more of his own shots in college, but they shoot similar shots (long distance) and percentages, they rebound similarly, and they both could improve their ball handling.

What KCP has going for him though is his size which seems to give him a defensive advantage and the fact that he has more potential since he is coming out as a sophomore instead of as a senior.

The green room invitation come after the league asks the teams who they are likely to draft. If you get a green room invite there's a very high chance you're getting drafted in the lottery.

Jazz? That would make some sense there. A lot of sense.

Maybe its us at 13.

I'll agree it is interesting... most projections I've seen had Kasarev going late in the 1st, such as in the 20s, because he's a draft-and-stash.

Dallas has been pretty open about drafting and stashing if they keep the pick and I really think they wanted a pick back in return for taking on Marion which wasn't going to happen, so Karasev to Mavs makes sense.

I thought Karasev was going to come over if drafted?

Everything I can find says he plans on coming over. It looks like the Cavs are rumored to want him at 13 if they can pull off a deal with Dallas.

Wow. The deals I had seen connecting Cleveland and Dallas were Marion and 13 for 19. I'll be pissed if the Cavs bend over for Cuban when they have the leverage on the Mavs.

Demps on uncertainty of this draft:

"The question is, I would say 90% of the teams do this, if you're picking six you say I know for sure I'm going to get one of these six guys. You rank them and you say this is who I'm going to get. For us, if one of those guys is ready to play now that's great and if he's going to take a little time that's great as well too. We think that there are a number of guys that can come in here and help us become a better basketball team.

It's classic take the BPA in effect, if the Pels keep the pick.

If McLemore falls to the Pelicans at 6, would you trade Gordon for 9 and Kirilenko? That's my question.

AK's opt-in deadline isn't until a day or two after the draft.

We'd have to be sure he'd opt-in or else Minny would have to come up with some REALLY good assets to send us.
