I would be thrilled if he fell to 56. I'm not sure how he'll fare in the NBA, and he doesn't really fit our needs, but at that point in the draft, you take the best talent and see how it works.

No because when he'd play 7 minutes per game we'd have 30 threads a day talking about how the coach is an idiot.

This is something I didn't consider. I can deal with shitty threads if we got a talented bench player, though.

Hell yeah I'd be happy. If he drops that low he stands just a good a chance at success as all the other players left in the draft.

That's whats wrong with the Saints these days. No ex-tigers since Devery retired.

Sure, but there is zero chance he'll be there by the time we pick. Maybe if he slips out of the 1st round (doubtful) and we trade up into the early 2nd. I believe the team did trade up in 2009 to grab Marcus Thornton, not that any of those folks are still involved.

From what I've seen, it looks like both Tigers will be gone by the time the Pels pick. Unless they trade up or something crazy happens in the lead up to the draft, there's not much chance they end up here. FWIW I think Martin could fulfill a need here as he projects as more of a SF than a PF. He measured smaller than expected at the combine without the wingspan to compensate (like Mickey).

Yes, but since he played at LSU, he has no business playing professional sports in New Orleans.

The other lsu player who helped the hornets any time he was on the floor didnt play because the coach was an idiot though.

I don't think he has the lateral quickness to play much 3 in the NBA. That said, he's an inch taller than Mickey and his standing vertical, even with less wing span, is still half and inch higher. Mickey is much more explosive jumper, though.

That's a bit of a stretch. He certainly could play, but he left a lot to be desired defensively and seemingly did not get along at all with Chrissy Poo.
